BTR you cant pull that ****. You just killed everyone. Including me, Greg, soon to be Templar, yourself and N3V30, Honestly. Lets back this up...How about his a little. little!!! WMD nuke. And instead of killing everyone it created a shroud of smoke that covered every inch of the city, that hasn't been burnt to a crisp by a giant nuke that killed everyone. Do you catch my drift? You cant kill any other character. And please don't push right into Paris. Otherwise this will become nothing more then a "I took Moscow, you took Paris" thread.

Lan sat their as the world went from chaotic to hell worthy. The Russians had dropped some sort of nuclear weapon. About 1km from Lans position the bomb released an explosion of red and black. The smoke was overwhelming and covered the entire field. The explosion itself was not that deadly. A tank and helicopter unit had been destroyed. There was 2 survivors from the Helo division though. Through the thick smoke Lan could barely make out the figures of his comrades. Both sides seemed to have initiated a cease fire. Perhaps an unofficial one but non the less there was no violence. All over the com channel the generals were telling us to regroup and re distribute. The Russians seemed to be doing the same thing. Lan had grabbed the helmet of one of the Spetsnaz in the city. However there was more then just special russian forces in the city now. Many regular Russians had pulled into the city. They were easier to kill but were still no joke. The smoke was beginning to clear. It became a heavy fog. It was still impossible to see in front of you but at least Lans lungs had stopped burning.

Lan had begun to move. He was now nearing Zulu. One of the captured uplinks. More troops had moved into the city. Over 3000 infantry alone had come moved in. Supposedly there were air striker ready to hit the enemy back line. Over 200 Enforcers had moved into the city since the "nuke" went off. There was no doubt that more Spetsnaz had moved in. Aside from the captured headset Lan had noticed more Russian gunship over head. 2 units had flown over his head and cleared the smoke that seemed to cover every inch of the city. Lan was still moving to Zulu when the second Spetsnaz gunship unit passed overhead. A rush of cold air surrounded his squad but no bullets were fired. Perhaps because of shroud of smoke, but the real cause was probably because they didn't want to pre maturely end the cease fire. When Lan finally arrived at Zulu he was met by an Enforcer captain. Lan immediately saluted the unnamed captain with a crisp hand to the forehead, and then a crisp movement back to the side of his body.

"At ease private. My name is Antonio Theocra. Where is your CO? Take your time to answer". The captain had a calm, reassuring tone to his voice.

Lavan caught his breath and stepped inside the uplink to avoid the smoke, which seemed to be thinning at an alarming rate. Lavan replied through his panting for fresh air "Sarge was covering our back, he should be here any minute"

"Excellent" the captain replied. "I want you and your unit to move to Foxtrot, the origin of the explosion. Get any survivors you can out of thier. Were going to push an offensive soon. The Russians are slow, they wont be able to beat us to the uplinks. Most of our forces are ready to repel an attack, however we have more coming in and forming a line. We have a red line and a blue line 100 meters apart from each other". We need you to secure Foxtrot which is where the blue line starts"

"Permission to speak?" Lan asked. The captain gave Lan a firm nod.

"Why us?" Lan practically yelled. "Were only recruits!". Lan was definitely yelling out of pure fear at this point.

"Well according to that Tank unit you pinned 2 Spetnaz units and captured 5 of those commies. That's why were giving you air support a veteran tank unit. Gemini. Very elite. We have few commanders available for disposal and you and that CO of yous are the only regular army troops to effectively take out Spetsnaz troops without killing half you unit. Everyone else is engaging enemy troops. You mission is basically training for most of the EUC commander out there." Lan looked down and expressed the shame he evidently felt. "Look its not an incredibly difficult mission. Your headed for a destroyed uplink, during a cease-fire and if you meet resistance we will troops from all over the city supporting you. Can you do this!?" the captain commanded.

Lan took a few seconds to respond. "I can, but what about sarge?". "Your CO shall lead a smaller strike on a known Spetsnaz bunker. There's a commander in there. We need to take him out."

Seemingly on queue the tank unit the captain promised rolled in. "Time to go private Kratos". And with that Lan rushed out the door. The smoke was a light black fog now. There was enough cover to get the ruined uplink. When lan looked up he saw Isaac sitting on one of the tanks. Lavan let out his first chuckle in hours as Isaac looked down with his black face and smiled at Lan. "Lets move out!" was the last thing Lan said before the convoy began moving.

Wait, who said I killed everyone?? I only dropped a High Explosive bomb on the section of the battlefield where the transmitters were, not the whole town! The area i was describing was the uplink center compound next to the town. And I wasn't literally going to go straight to Paris. Sorry for the misunderstanding, I'll be more careful from now on! Christopher Liberius finished planting the explosives on the underside of the oil rig. He rubbed his hands together and longed to get out of the cold. But then again Russia was a cold place which meant no escape. He had spent the entire night dangling above the freezing waters on his support rig while he set up the charges. Well those russkies wont be too happy about loosing one of their best rigs would they? Too bad for them Chris thought as he pulled himself to the final support pillar. The russians above him continued to work as they had all night and all day. However they hadn't had armed guards yesterday had they? Maybe he had just been too preoccupied to notice or maybe they were recent arrivals. Either way he had to finish soon.

The wind blew a little stronger as he tried to retrieve the last batch of charges. He set them up and then noticed the workers were looking over the railing above him. He went deathly still and held onto the pulley system holding him as tight as he could to stop it from making a noise. The workers looked for a few minutes and then one of the guards walked over to them. "возвратитесь, чтобы работать!" the man yelled with a thick Russian accent.

Christopher watched in the dark as they turned around and got back to work. He let out a sigh of relief and watched his breath whisk away like smoke vanishing into the chimney. He slowly started to make his way back to the crawlspace from which he had come. The wind gently rocked him back and forth while he dangled above the frozen waters and moved as best he could to his exit.

When he reached it he unhooked himself and began to move as quickly as possible through the crawlspace. A couple times the guards above stopped for a second but quickly lost interest in the sounds of a scurrying animal. Except they didn't know what animal it was. Christopher soon reached his exit and pushed it free from its place. He slid it stealthily along the metal floor and poked his head up looking around the room he was in.

He got up and closed the exit just as a pair of guards waltzed into the room. They began muttering something in Russian to one another while Chris hid behind a table. They were watching the men work when something happened that made them laugh hysterically. He took his chance and grabbed his silenced pistol as he stood up. One of the two men noticed him and had a look of shock on his face a second before he collapsed with a bullet lodged in his brain the second barely had time to react as Chris shot him in the chest.

The second corpse collapsed and Chris grabbed his rifle along with some ammunition, a few grenades and as he changed into the Russian outfit. When he was done and all ready he went outside and said to the man watching the workers, in his best Russian of course, "how are these dogs doing in the cold?"

The Russian was obviously drunk and said, with his gun pointed at them, "these dogs need to get back to work before I shoot them in their numb legs" the man began to laugh which made Chris realise that the other Russians were laughing at a drunk. "Hey, where do you think your going?" the man asked as Chris tried to walk away.

"My shift is over" he replied calmly. It was hard to stay calm while a drunk Russian was holding an assault rifle a few feet ahead of you, and one whom you couldn't predict.

"Right. and I'm Stalin" the man said with a slur. "I saw you in there with those two" the man exclaimed as he turned the rifle on Chris.

"I see" he replied in English. Chris put his hand up to his mouth as he contemplated what to say next. "Well then it is a shame that I have to do this" he said an instant before he knocked the Russians rifle into the air, which let off a few rounds, and stabbing the man in the throat.

As guards began to rush over an the workers began to flee, Chris snatched up his rifle and fired as he crouched behind a pipe. A bullet made impact and steam exploded from the metal tube. Christopher quickly jumped to the side and fired at the russian who took multiple rounds in the chest before slumping to the ground. Chris had rolled over to pile of oil storage canisters however he was pretty sure they were empty. The Russians seemed to know that too and opened fire as soon as they reached him.

Chris tossed a grenade in their direction after holding onto to it for a second and it exploded in the air in front of them sending them falling backwards with burns and shrapnel wounds. He sprinted up a nearby staircase towards the control room and shot the lock on the door before kicking it open. The captain of the rig was ahead of him holding a shotgun pointed at Chris whom quickly jumped out of the way as the captain fired.

As he landed Chris fired his rifle but only shattered the windows behind the Captain. As more guards came into the room he stood up and jumped at the Captain who didn't have time to pull the trigger. The remaining guards opened fire while Chris used the man as a meat shield. It worked and Chris managed to fire his weapon at the guards as the Captain took his last breath. He quickly pulled on his Russian mask and hat before hiding behind the door. As soon as another Russian guardsmen came through the door he slammed it shut and pulled over the hatch lock, the one that couldn't be shot to bits.

He slammed the butt of his rifle into the russians face and knocked him backwards. The Russian was well trained and raised his fists for the coming fight. Chris did the same and threw a kick at the Russian who managed to grab his leg. The Russian tossed him to the ground and lunged for him with his knife but Chris rolled out of the way and kicked the Russian's knife to the other side of the room. The Russian soon made a reach for his pistol but Chris was jumping for cover.

7 rounds flew from the chamber into the wall beside Chris who quickly reached for his own pistol. The Russian said in English to him "You can't make it out of this no matter how you try to, so why don't you give up. You will be treated as a POW and may even be exchanged back to the EFC"

Chris began to laugh before he pointed the gun at his arm chest and pulled the pin on a grenade. He tossed the grenade at the door and fired 2 rounds into his bullet proof vest and one into his right leg. The grenade exploded and Chris yelled in pain as more guards came through the door. "Shoot the traitor!" Chris yelled in Russian as the guardsmen pointed their guns at the man whom he had just fought.

The sound of automatic fire broke the night and the Russian fell backwards into the already forming pool of his own blood.

One of the guards medics quickly rushed over to Chris and after checking his wounds said "Don't worry, your gonna be okay just a simple surgery and you'll be as good as a cold glass of vodka" the Russian said jokingly. Chris chuckled a little through his occasional moans as they loaded him onto a stretcher for the helicopter they had requested when the shooting began.

As he was loaded onboard Chris took out the detonator switch from his inner coat pocket and held it in his hand. The helicopter lifted off and he was too be taken to a Moscow Hospital for the surgery. One of the medics onboard was taking names of the deceased and critically injured when he arrived at Chris.

"Guardsman, what is your name? and why were at the oil rig?" he asked holding his medical laptop. The man was clean and shaven. Chris couldn't smell vodka on his breath which was odd for a Russian but he responded kindly, well at least as kindly as he could given the fact that he had shot himself in the leg and didn˜t much like talking.

"My name is Mikhail Vladistok, I was recently transferred to the oil rig from a post up in St. Petersburg" It was the exact response he had been going over in his head for the hours dangling above the frigid waters. He had also made sure it was bullet proof as it was the name of a guard who was transferred from St. Petersburg to the oil rig whom Chris had eliminated upon his arrival. The only thing that didn't match was how the two men looked and the EFEC Secret Service had already edited all the files.

Chris looked out the window as the Oil rig slowly began to disappear. And then he pressed the big red button on the detonator sending the night of the ocean into scorching daylight as one of Russia's biggest oil rigs detonated in a massive fireball fuelled by what it was mining and by what Russia demanded to contend with the other superpowers.

Ironic was the last thought Chris had that night as he closed his eyes and slipped gently into sleep.

As the smoke from the FOAB began to die down, General Rankov could see the nearby town, which was in complete chaos, his front units had encountered stubborn resistance. The EF forces that survived the FOAB blast in the uplink center had regrouped in the town center to assist their comrades. But that was not his primary concern now, he would leave his lieutenants to handle that. His primary objective now was to sucure an internment camp about half a mile north of the town and evac all Russian citizens inside it. Once he had done that then he could concentrate on the town

He didn't make it the guy who wrote the book did and that guy was some person writing under then name of David Micheals

On topic i am writing for this now. My character is an Austarlain Lieutenant in the New Commonwealth's Amry Corp,. I know that they are technically neutral but as Codbrooks has already said the British are in on the war so why isn't everyone else, and eventually they'd have to pick sides, i mean look at America in WW2 at first they didn't fight (to much i mean they still ahd troops on the ground fighting the Germans and italians but nothing major) and then comes Pearl harbour and half their dammn country is off fighting.

The story itself will eb in first person, i do hope that's alright

the room nathan was in shook. dust flowing up from the cracks in the walls. flowers and books falling off the shelves. " what the hell was that?" he yelled in the mike. nothing but static issued from his headset. he yelled down the hall,"Mongoose, yall ok". Decans head poped in the doorway,

"yeah man, it felt like an earthquake."
Nathan keyed his mike "Wolf den this is operational task force new dawn, handler Ra sword 1. do you copy." nothing but static was his response. he keyed the mike and said the same thing. static, then a females voice cam across the headset, "this is wolf den, go ahead sword 1".

"requesting intel at my location." there was a pause, probably as she punched in his handler name back at Delta headquarters.

"thats a negative Sword 1, there is an informational blackout, will relay findings when i recive them over."

Nathan cursed, "roger that, Sword one over and out." he sat in the room silent, as the battle raged on outside. it had been more then two hours since delta had split up. "this is sword one to all units, sitrep"

the mike keyed and an image of preacher flipped on his eye piece "this is dirt diver 1, were held up in a house north of your position. under heavy russian fire. i repete heavy russian fire." nathan saw the glass behind preacher shatter as russian bullets tore through the house. then preachers image flicked off and a young Sgt's flicked on.

"this is dirt diver 2" collins said moving down an alley, giving the hold sign at the end. "im switching to my head cam sword 1, take a look." the next thing nathan saw was a russian transport with about 20 russian troops outside of a house firing at it. "sword 1, Dirt diver 1 has about 20 russians knocking at his door."

"roger that dirt diver 2, any ideas?"
collins looked for a second, "yes sir. itll get a bit messy."

preachers image flicked back on"roger that dirt diver 2, were wai..............pssst" the transmission was cut short as fire swelled in the image and then went dark. Nathan hit dirt divers 2 head cam. it was pointed towards the sky. after a few seconds of jaring the cam was back on toarget,"sir, holy hell. a russian mortar just hit the house. half of its missing." from the came nathan had a clear view into the upstairs bathroom, their was one soldier crawling across what was left of the floor. the russians opened up and the soldier went limp. collins raised his weapon,

"negative dirt diver two. your out numbered. wait for it to be clear and proceed to waypoint bravo."

collins voiced broke in before nathan could switch the mike off,"COME AGAIN!? sword 1, dirt diver 1 is down. we cant just..."

nathan broke in mid sentence"negative, we cant riks losing another team. im not asking, its a direct order."

there was silence on the comm,"roger." just then a set of 4 cheetah gunships flew in and let rockets fly. the transport exploded as a rocket went into the bay door, imploding the vehichal. sending russians flying. Two russians appeared from behind the smolding heap and collins gave the order to fire. the russians were done. dirt diver two was back on the move.

Nathan had saw the exchange, but didnt comment. he knew if he was in the same position he would have fired to. "Wolf den this is sword 1, Dirt diver 1 is down, i repeat dirt diver 1 is down."

The womans voice came back across the comm."roger that, are you still combat effective?"
"roger."

"proceed with primary objective. over and out."

Nathan didnt have time to think about what just happened. "mongoose move these boys out." They exited the fornt door sprinting to an alley ajacent to the house. the fighting in the town had picked up. the haywaire platoon was being joined by other enforcer groups. Thier Bdu's had held up so far from views by passing EF soldiers.

Nathan took point as they rounded a corner. less then five doors down a spetnez troops. Highly trained, and highly armored, with the latest in russian spec ops gear. "D we got a squad of about 6 spetnez coming up, 4 doors down." decan looked around and spotted a cellar door. using the stock of his assualt rifle he knocked off the rusted lock. the rest of sword 1 followed down, and nathan closed the doors behind them.

nathan was waiting with his saber pointed at the doors when he mike keyed and an image of sgt. davis flicked on,"sword 1, this is sword 2. we got spetnez coming up on our six. we have no way to avoid them."

Nathan flipped hsi pda to the sleeping MUAV and spotted the alley Sgt. davis had taken up position. there was a dead end. "D take postion on the first floor. when i give the order fire out the windows." the rest of the team ranup the stairs quickly cearing the rooms. they took up postions at the windows, making sure to stay low. "sword 2 get farther back in the alley, when i give the order you fire down the street, were in the 4th house on the right, watch the fire."

"roger that" davis said.

"OPEN FIRE!" yelled nathan into his mike. Davis and his second in command poped out and fired down the street, catching the spetenz off guard. but thanks to the massive amounts of armor they had in the front the bullets werent having effect. nathan heard russian say take cover in the alley. as they did sword 1 opend up through the windows. two russians went down. caught off guard by the fire they tryed to retreat down the alley, exactly what nathan was hoping.

The cellar doors sprang open and nathan came up, singles shots taking down 3 russian. Decan appeared at the window and took the last one down. nathan breathing was steady, he keyed the mike"sword 2 your clear."

"roger sword 1" the last thing nathan saw was the team moving from the alley on to the waypoint.

Nathan looked down and he had two bullet holes in his shoulder. the squad poped moved into the alley. Decan was the first to see the blood,"damnit, Haze RA is hit" Haze scrambled to get his medical field kit out. they decied to treat nathan before they moved on.

East side of the town
Russian Federation, 3rd Tank Platoon "Badgers"

Captian Yuri Sergetov was the commander of a
T-100 MBT. He grew up near an army base in Volograd and had always been fascinated by the tanks. He joined the Army as soon as he got out of high school. He was hand picked for the Spetsnaz Guard Brigade after standing out in his regiment for bravery during the Third Chechen War in 2018. He was assigned to the 44th assault division under the command of genral Rankov. His tank column was advancing into a large town where the local Enforcer unit was proving to be troublesome. "Alright, we have an enemy position about 120 meteres down that street, mainly infantry, but also some ICVs! Gunner, load frag shells!" He ordered. "Badger, this is command, change of plans, you are now to assault the enemy foreward command post near the town hall, UAV recon shows at least 3 Panther MBTs and a platoon of Combat engineers, Ka-52 air support is on stand by, call out coordinates as nesicary. Command out." a voice barked over the comm system. "All right you heard him men! Turn left at the next intersection!" Yuri ordered. Once they turned corner the nearly drove straight into an Enforcer tank. "Sh*t! Gunner 11 o'clock! Fire! FIRE!" The tank shook as the 150mm smooth-bore cannon shot the EF tank at point blank range, reducing it to a pile of glowing hot wreckage. Behind Yuri's tank a company of Wolves Riflemen followed, ready to take on the Euro infantry. "Coming up! combat engineers! Watch out for the AT rockets!" The driverbegan moving down the street in zigzag movements to make them difficult to shoot at. Yuri used his remote controlled 12.7mm HMG to gun down 4 Enforcers and suppress an MG nest. Meanwhile, the gunner fire the two turret mounted 30mm auto-cannons and a sandbag fortified building, chewing apart the Euro's inside. But then, a missle streaked by and the tank next to Yuris burst into flames.
"Damn! Groza 3 is down! Repeat, Groza 3 is down! Gunner! Torch that apartment at 2 o'clock!" the turret mounted flame thrower spewed out a stream of fire, covering the 3story building with burining fluid. The Wolves then advanced on the town hall AN-94s at the ready. An EF sniper shot a Russian in the chest, mortally wounding him, while his squad mates immediately returned fire, forcing the sniper to flee the area. The rest of the Russian infantry stormed the Hall, slowly clearing out each room of hostiles while taking few casualties of thier own. Exausted, demoralized, and running out of ammo, many of the Enforcers surrendered. But many others had strong will and fought to the end, inflicting some casualties on the Russian infantry platoon but ultimately being killed or driven away. "Command, this is Badger! Area sucure! Awaiting further instructions!" Yuri said over the radio. "Acknowledged Badger, proceed to the residential area-" Command was cut off by a huge explosion, damaging Yuri's tank and killin 1/3 of the nearby Russian infantry. "****! Enemy gunships over there! Yuri's gunner reported, "Get them with the 30mm! I'll call air support!" Yuri responded. As his tank and the surviving infantry fired at the incoming group of PAH-6s; Yuri got on the radio nad called for gunship support. "This is badger! Requesting air support at Xulu 177!" "Copy Badger, Orca squadron en route, stand by." Soon aflight of Ka-52 zoomed in and peppered the PAH-6s with machine gun and rocket fire until all but one were destroyed, the last flew away and escaped.

Me and you were actually fighting near an uplink by the german/french/belgium border trying to stop the russians from outflanking europe, a tad later on in the story after they rushed by poland (at least I reckonned so Big Grin)

when you start or start a new part, post who your fighting such as.

Location: battle with greg/codbrooks/Russian?.
side: Enforcers, battlegroup 15
unit: Haywire platoon

ACT 2 - Hold at all costs ... mainly theirs

As the rumbling of the Russian tanks came closer and closer so did the EFEC bombers....

Lieutenant Daniels had a bad feeling about this battle, these tanks made a different sound then their presumably, regular Russian army cousins.

Daniels had order the entire Haywire platoon to take out different positions, Hellfire already repositioned and further accompanied by Spook, with Thunder being on the building to the east of Spook and hellfire –ready to suppress any infantry squads coming down main street.Meanwhile squad Lightning had set up behind the barricades by the Lima Thunder Uplink and had placed additional demo charges around the main square barricades that could be used against the presumable Russian combat engineers. Lightning squad leader - Sergeant first class Jacque Élise -reckoned the charges would be useless if they were facing Russian bears as they'd sprint toward them in the open trying to close the gap as fast as possible. That's why they had set up there automatic weapons though, ready to meet any head on assault.

In the mean time Sergeant Paparazzi ordered Hellfire to switch back to their anti-armour function, seeing the Russian tanks where now dangerously close on their position, Spook squad had also armed their only missile launcher with their anti-tank missiles knowing what threat was upon them.

By now the command squad had moved to the second story of the city hall, having a better oversight on the square enabling the lieutenant to direct the battle far more easily. Watching through his binoculars he could see the first 2 Russian tanks drive down the main street - leaving only the remaining 2 Russian tanks unnoticed- they were scanning the area with their thermal imaging units, the camera domes on the tanks moving around fiercely before popping back in their turret. They knew the Enforcers were and were determined to kill them....

Once more the radio came alive, this time it was colonel Straβmacher command vehicle though. Haywire, air support is en-route, what's your status over? Daniels replied: Sir we have met heavy enemy resistance and we are currently holding the uplink against a Russian Tank attack, SGB tanks to be precise Sir ...
Copy that Haywire – a moment of silenced passed through the empty office space- can you hold out, I can redirect call sign "sword-wind" attack helicopters to your position ,ETA 5 minutes over. Copy that command.

As Rijsdijks comm. link became active again it was the lieutenant with new order; they are scanning the area and holding for now, call sign sword-wind is coming, attack helicopters . Nice to hear that Sir!!, but those tanks are rolling again.

As Daniels looked out the second story window he could see the tanks on main street, still scanning for their targets, quickly his eye fell on the street diagonally to main street
"Heinmannstraβe" , the road next to the main street, went live when the other 2 beasts rolled down the road, their engines roaring in defiance going full speed; bulldozing down the street flattening the cars that were still left on the road. Enemy movement left of main street, Hellfire it's the command tank take it out !!!
The moment of confusion from where the sounds had originated were enough though, the command tank had fired its first round and the last image the Lieutenant saw for now was a fire plume originating from the tanks barrel, along with the room he was in turn into a dust cloud.........

Verdomme; Rijsdijks called out over the comm., seeing the HEAT shell hitting just 8 meters next to the position the lieutenant was indicated on his HUD. The first tanks were done with their scanning and were also moving full speed ahead on main street whilst firing their co-axial mounted machine guns- Lightning had dug in well though, and Sergeant first class Jacque Élise knew the Russian thought they had severed the snakes head, not realising it was in fact a Hydra that grew two back in turn.
Let them have it lighting!!! Sergeant Rijsdijks screamed over the comm., Affirmative Spook; terminating tanks 1 and 2.

The thought to be command tank and accompanying tank in the platoon were now at the end of Heinmannstraβe, presumably reloading their main guns and trying to take out lighting. The other 2 SGB tanks were not that lucky tough, in their haste they didn't think of another ambush hidden between the barricades they , which they had closed to several feet now.

Bon soir, Russians ; In a plume of fire the two tanks evaporated leaving a enormous cloud of mud, oil and burning debris being blown across entrance of the square, obstructing the sight of the command tank and its companion to fire at lighting holding the uplink.

The lieutenant opened his eyes realising he wasn't dead yet, his experience as well as his training kicked in looking around seeing his command squad had suffered the same fate as he did. Shaken not dead, a quick glance at the square and he saw Lighting having lived up to their name, a setting of the demo charges while firing their guns through the dust plume at the front of the square......
Dion, status rapport !!; the lieutenant barked to his radio operator whom immediately began hailing all squads. This is Haywire command, status report over.
Lighting, copy- 2 enemy tanks destroyed, no other bogeys in sight sir, Sergeant first class Jacque Élise remarked with a surprised sound in his voice hearing the command squad was not annihilated in the shell blast.
Thunder, copy-Corporal Michelle Chantier remarked; Enemy spetsnatz Bears are moving down la rue, laying down suppressive fire!!
Hellfire and Spook, copy- we can't see a darn thing sir, the dust is everywhere but the command tank has stopped right next to us, are we allowed to storm ?.

The lieutenant knew they were going to win this if they played their cards right from this point, reaching to the button on his comm. link issuing orders; Thunder suppress enemy bears drive them in the in one of the buildings before they can set up heavy weapons; Hellfire and Spook you are go to swarm enemy tanks, GO !!! Then the last order was issued to lightning and the transports platoon leader, Chimera; need assistance at Lima thunder for lightning, MOVE NOW!!!. The airplanes were now a mere few seconds away leading, the helicopter hadn't shown yet though, odd, but they didn't need their assistance any more. The all squads readied in, and the trap to kill this bear was ready to snap......

Rijsdijks screamed to his men and they followed, his helmet being optimised for urban combat seeing the last known position of the enemy tanks on his HUD. Hellfire squad following Spook as they rushed down the stairs do deliver their deadly cargo as well. There it was, the mighty Russian tank stood still in the end of the street, right next to the little fires of the remains of the terminated tanks . A mighty sight indeed, Rijsdijks had seen these SGB modifications before but did not believe the stories about bolted on guns and as many ground clearing devices rigged to the main body of those tanks; Now though he stood an estimated 20 feet away from it, within the confines of the building that separated the main road from the street these iron behemoths rolled down from. Hellfire you taking the first one?, we'll take the command tank. Sergeant Paparazzi agreed and both squads rushed to the tanks; it seemed an eternity in Paparazzi mind, he had done this before though and knew the disc shaped explosives would make short work of the tanks once placed near the engines or dropped down the hatch- the latter being the most dangerous, whilst the first was the most tricky to pull off. Rijsdijks thoughts were the same as Paparazzi's, but all of sudden he knew the hatch was their only chance now- the Russian tank commander had spotted them and the turret swirled in their direction- still leaving Hellfire able to plant their charge upon the engine compartment, then cleaning the tank out in the rest of process.

Paparazzi's men reached the first tank with private Lombardi immediately throwing the charge on top of the engine compartments location whilst screaming everyone to get down. A by the book manoeuvre, at least what was mentioned about it in their infantry manuals. Apparently Lombardi took the liberty to pull the fuse out a bit early on, presumably because of his earlier experience with the long fuses of the charges. Almost as soon as everyone had hit the deck the weapon went off-although not as effective as lightning's charges who went off almost simultaneously, creating a huge fireball that enabled this assault- it smashed a hole in the tanks replacing the running engines sound with the one that drowned itself. Lombardi still on the ground, shell-shocked severly, and being helped up by corporal Liemann, who was right behind him and had apparently had taken less of a blow from the charge. Although Lombardi was a muscular man ,whom had been part of a global ant-terrorist force, but still could not get up without the help from Lieman- whom herself had served with the German SWAT equivalent. They couldn't join in time to swamp the tank effectively, so Paparazzi and his 4 remaining men climbed aboard the iron monster- proving to be a much easier task with their optimised assault rifles and bolted and side armour. Paparazzi reaching the hatch first lost his balance as the Russian crew, in vain, tried to knock their assailant off the tanks by swirling their turret- Then with 3 gestures of his hand Paparazzi denoted to his men to crack the lid open and fire in before he dropped a grenade in; the hatch opened and the Russian men screamed: Они открыли люк, личное оружие !!!. Not knowing what the Russian men said, and seeing them reach for their side-arms the first sergeant opened fire and killed the tank commander, followed with one of the privates fragmentation grenades in turn followed by the hatch being closed which popped up a few inches releasing the smoke created by the blast. They were successful in their attack, but seeing the men and woman of Spook boarding the sides of the Russian tank, who's barrel was pointed towards them, being a threat they had to take cover from and hope Spook would terminate in time. But before he knew it, the enemy tank drove off with the men of Spook squad taking a piggyback ride on the last metal monster alive.

The tank had opened fire on Spook squad, it had noticed them too late though, and missed all of its 30 mm co-axial gun fire which proved to be inaccurate due to clearly being a modification of the original design. Some bullet shad to be dodged though, corporal Parel whom was carrying the demo charge, was in the back and made a head roll forward- thereby evading his limbs being torn off by the automatic cannon firing. Now only 6 feet away the firing stopped and a loud bang erupted behind Spook squad, signalling the end for one of the two tanks- it was followed by Russian screams over the cross-fire erupting from main street, followed by automatic gun fire and a grenade exploding in what seemed to be the interior of hellfire's tank. Rijsdijks was o the side skirts of the tank now in the process of climbing to its hull, however the tank became to life to though. It began to move forward and the last members of Spook squad jumped the sides, including corporal Parel whom was hoisted up by Rijsdijks who fell over the tank in the process. The Russian tanks sped through the cloud of debris and Rijsdijks could see it took advantage of its passengers, knowing the other soldiers at the uplink would fire on it. Rijsdijks now heard a screaming in his left ear, it was the lieutenant telling him to either blow the thing or get off and letting Lightning handle it, he decided they would do as they said- blow this metal monster; Parel wait for me and the guys to pry this hatch open, then drop the charge this bitch has to come to a halt. In the ensuing scene Spook squad opened up the hatch with their fast short burning torch, then Parel fired is side arm in the dark below eliminating any possible armed tank crews member. It's rigged to blow, GET OFF; Rijsdijk screamed, and so his men did. The tanks rolled forwards and Parel questioned if he'd forget to pull the pin out of the charge, then right before the tank smashed into the uplinks barricades it exploded- it's Turret coming apart from the inside spewing out flames, it's engines roaring as a wounded animal sure to die whilst grounding to a stop a several feet in front of Lightning.
For a second there I thought this was going to be dangerous; Sergeant first class Jacque Élise remarked to his Platoon commander, So did I; remarked Lieutenant Daniels. Immediately he contacted Thunder, Corporal Michelle was fairly new in the platoon made up entirely of veterans from the first conflict in the war, she and Thunder squad apparently couldn't deal with the Russian bears whom were cut off from their comrades now. Their part in this battle had been achieved though, The transports had moved to the uplink and had primed their TOW missile ready to level the buildings the bears were hiding in. The corporals last remark to the lieutenant mentioned the Bears at half strength and holding the building, Chimera didn't notice this through the open link anymore and had already opened fire; effectively terminating the Russian attempt to secure the uplink.

All of a sudden Lightning spotted an entirely new platoon of Russian Bears and transports coming down the main road that seemed to come out of nowhere. Spook, what is this ? you didn't tell us this. We didn't spot them, they must have responded to help calls; remarked Rijsdijks who's squad had also taken refuge near the uplink.

Don't worry the radio crackled, the command platoons radio operator voice said; Look for the skies, Ramsteinn will take care of it. As Rijsdijks looked up he saw sergeant Mahtieus , attached to the command squad, take aim with the laser designator.

The smooth voice of the jet pilot came over Daniels ear piece; Copy that Falcon-Thunder, targets are painted and requesting your air support over. A short silenced ensued and the Falcon-Thunder responded again; Copy, targets are confirmed and Thunderstorm is off the rail, ETA 30 seconds.

The Russians sped down the road and were already exchanging fire with the troops at Lima-Thunder, then the command came; Heads down, INCOMING!!!.
For split-second everyone saw a huge metal object fall to earth before it erupted in a storm of fire and death, unparalleled by anything they could bring to bear. It left nothing but ashes.

They had held the uplink and secured the road to Paris and Ramsteinn for now, the rest of the task force were coming down now, sure the Russians would return; but his time they would be on equal numbers and entrenched to take them down, head on....

Haywire celebrated their victory with the rest of their battle group, preparing for the rest of the attack that would ensue that night. They had contributed there part to war, and proved nothing was impossible for the Enforcers ; Sound the trumpets of Valor. The European sword bested the bear ,and although it would take them another battle to secure Paris from the Bear, they had proved they could do it.

Lieutenant Daniels knew the uplink was important though, and could help suppress the feeling the USA wasn't involved in this more than important battle, especially now they were enemies.
He would soon learn his feelings were correct.

Nathan had just finished strapping on his dragon skin vest when his comm clicked on."Wolf den to sword 1."he quickly put his helmet on and put the cabel into the back of it when Gneral Anderson's figure appeared. he quickly snapped to attention out of instinct unaware he couldnt be seen. Decan walked over and placed his cam on the battle torn Delta member.

"You look like hell sargent," Nathan smiled, "Son we have intel that a russian tank battalion just smashed through EF defenses on the other side of town." he flipped through some papers and his voice became stressed." we also have intel that the spetnez spec ops code named WOLF PACK is accompanying them. can you confirm?"

Nathan thought for a second, "No sir. we did run into spetnez but not the wolf pack." Andersons worried looked evaporated on his face.

"Son New Dawn needs to be exicuted NOW before the window closes and the russian capture the uplink."

Nathan bit back a remark and decided to go another way,"Sir, Enforces seem to be holding their own on this side of town. we currently dont have a way into the complex."

Anderson seemed to be talking someone off screen when he shifted his attention back."Understood. maybe this will light a fire under you. In 21 hours their will be a V-25 with QRF of rangers on board to extract you and your team upon the complition of this mission. The den will relay the LZ to you and then they will be at your full disposal for active intel."

Nathans face lit up,"Yes sir."

Andersons reached for the cut off switch,"and good luck son." the video feed went dead and the comm went silent. Nathan recived LZ cordinants on his pda.

"well boys it looks like were offical. we have an evac out of the AO in 21 hours." He relayed the information to the rest of his team across the comm. He slambed a fresh clip into his saber,"Lets get this done." as the team was checking mags, fixing gauges on their thermal suits, Medic Haze walked over and held his hand out.
"whats this?"
Haze shrugged,"their for good luck i guess." he opened his hand and dropped the two slugs he had pulled out of nathans shoulder into his hand. Nathan looked at them for a second and then put them in his breast pocket under his vest. The men moved down the alley......

Location: Outside the town, inside an MAZ660 King Spider command vehicle
General Rankov

Rankov's men had reached the internment camp without and opposition and were evacuationg the Russian citizens held there. Apparently all Enforcers had been sent to defend the town. Now he could concentrate on taking the town itself. "Sir, Captain Yuri reports that his tank platoon has taken the enemy foreward command post with moderate casualties and is preparing to assault the residential district." An officer reported over the radio.
"Good, send him some backup before he advances he will need it." Rankov replied. "My intel officers reprt that an elite EF unit is in the area, wheatrod- no "Haywire". They've just drove off an armoured counter attack, so he must be careful. We also have unconfirmed reports of American JSF special forces in the area."
"I'll inform our officers sir." The colonel responded.
"Do that, we've taken far too many casualties in this little town." I think it's time for an artillery barrage! Rankov thought with a grin. The MAZ660 was eqipped with a multi-barreled medium range missle launcher, not as good as a full sized artillery gun, but could still do some good damage. Rankov selected "UAV camera feed" on his touch screen holomap and viewed live UAV footage of the battle. It looked like the Enforcers were bringing in reinforcements by helicopter over behind a hill near the town, he would launch the missiles right when the next force arrived. "Gunner! Prepare the missle launchers!" Rnakov ordered. "Yes sir!" The gunner barked. Rankove waited for the little red symbol on the map to land...and then simply touched the "artillery" symbol on the support tab and touched the location on the map. The MAZ660 shook as a salvo of missiles at the distant target. He watched the UAV live feed as the barrage samashed into a group of infantry and the chopper that they were disenbarking. Yes! He thought. There were still many more Enforcers coming in but they were forced to move thier LZ to anither place, delaying them and giving his forces more time to re-organize.
