Strangely enough, alot of military hardware these days look the same...It's like trying to tell the difference between forks.

I think it looks like a cross between a Eurocopter Tiger and Kamov Ka-50

Lets just make the UK a full member of the European Federation and forget the whole Commonwealth thing

Wait, you want to base it on the book and take out the New Commonwealth...Who were in the book, and add China...Who weren't....And also reduce the EF to an honourably mention.

BUT the book is still BASED on Ubisofts 'bestselling' GAME... meaning that the book is based off of the background story to the Game. Also if you didnt know the background story behind most of the book is technically correct, even though you may not have seen it in the game... the devs constantly talked about the story in interviews.

Also quoting Wikipedia isnt always the best thing to do on forums Wink

err this proves your wrong
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/End_War
Novelization
Main article: Tom Clancy's EndWar (novel)

Endwar was published as a novel on February 4, 2008 in paperback form. The back cover says "Based on Ubisoft's bestselling game, Tom Clancy's EndWar", despite the game not yet having been released at that time.

In any case this makes the book more pointless then ever.

Way to fail.

The fact it say on the book BASED ON. How can the book based on the game, be based on the book.

O and double fail for saying base the game on the book and then saying you haven't read the book.

Triple fail for saying remove cities. Thats right, we'll just ignore all major population centers.

Before I give my own suggestions, I'll start by saying that so far the best one I've heard is the "new air defence unit" by "benito Finito" which can shoot down income artillery fire and air to ground bombs/missiles. A new unit to add some depth and keep things fresh was going to be my first suggestion. This type of unit is a great idea and should certainly beconsidered. Of course the range of effectness would be limited, kind of like the range of the Command vehicle. The worse suggestion is to focus more on battles than capturing uplinks. We already have a "siege" and "battle" game type for this. And besides, Conquest is the game mode that requires the most amount of strategy as opposed to tactics only.

Here are my own suggestions:

Off map support: Too many feels like it's too much of a disadvantage toplay when they don't have air support and force recon while it's available to the other side (which it is). I personally don't mind, but if this causes more waiting time in the lobby then this should be revised.

Command vehicle: I don't feel like it's worth 6 CP. If I don't deploy it as my 3 starting units, I probably won't use it. I don't use it 90% of the time and still won most of my matches. The CV's primary role is access to a STIREP, which gives you an overview of the map. The Helicopters can do the same while moving quicker and being able to shootdown tanks and artillery's. Either bring down the CV cost at 4 points or perhaps the CV could work alongside the "new air defence unit" where the CV would track incoming bombs and the new unit would shoot them down?

TOW: I play conquest only. I find it rustrating when I log in the TOW only to see that no Conquest maps are available on a given day. This would be like playing Ghost recon online and no Team Sharpshooter wasavailable on some days. This is not right, always give the players at least one map for each of the game mode. To me, Endwar is Conquest.

Unit path: This is a flaw. Just yesterday while I was playing the Washington map, I ordered my Arty to attack an uplink. It was justoutside its range so it started to move...in the opposite direction! See, the arty only needed to move a little forward to get into range butinstead moved backward and was going to go all the way around the building. This has also happened with other units in other maps as well.

Please comment on my suggestions!

Off map supports. not a big deal to me either.

CV. it's very multirole in this game. It deploys drones which can attack or defend, it deploys UAVs which can attack either units or uplinks, and sitreps which let people see the whole battlefield. Besides, not everyone uses helis, or wants to waste them to see what's at a rear uplink. They would gladly waste the UAV though. It also has a powerful weapon and a lot of HP, I've had Transports and riflemen defeated by a CV and drones. So considering the multirole capabilities of the CV, 6 command points are not unreasonable. Besides, if you don't use it and win, what's the issue?Keep on not using it.

TOW: Live with it. Sometimes the TOW goes weeks without a battle, and I bet you're not complaining then. However the Guy who loves battles is living with it. Ubi can't please everyone.

Unit path: I agree, waypoints would be nice.i've had tanks go down the street with engineers in buildings while another street was undefended. In the meantime, just tell your unit where to move manually, then attack.

Also Drones are good against Gunships...Unless your EF and you upgraded them.

How about checking my NAVAL STRIKE poll about off map support.

I agree the CV should be less CP. Like you if I don't deploy it off the bat I don't deploy it.

Linking my "air defence unit" with the CV sounds good got me thinking.

Yeah conquest is the best I like battles too tho. It's raid and seige that are no good and should be gotten rid of. Defenders always lose raid and defenders almost always win seige.

As for unit paths it seem the alot of the people on this forum want more control over their units paths.

A thought about trying to bring Russia away from being the bad guy (AGAIN). Many of the Russian infantry units are wearing some kind of mask or head ware that completely envelops their faces. for example

And while the Euros and the Americans are wearing helmets and other head gear it usually shows their faces or a good portion of it

Now having no visible facial features or at least restricting the amount visible takes away the sense of humanity, builds fear factor and that can be a good thing since it adds to the sense of a Third World War. But having Russians being the ONLY faction to support such features makes them once again 'the bad guys' so here's what i'm thinking

Spread the faceless aspects among the factions or just get rid of it

If all the factions infantry had full face masks wouldn't it make gas or chemical based weapons pointless?
