Ok I just found out the last big operation was 01'. This war is not close to over. I wis basically a harder Iraq with the same goals. The only difference is now we have more support. This could take another 6 years like Iraq if not longer, maybe over by 2016.

At least we're getting more help from NATO on this one.

France is set to deploy Eurocopter Tiger gunships for ISAF as part of their increasing involvement in the war. They are to send almost 5,000 more troops by 2010. Wow...

Bulgaria is also going to increase it's force to a two company mobile batallion by 2010.

Italy is to send 800 more forces, bringing their total force to ~3,600

Poland is sending 328 more soldiers.

Slovakia is to send 176 more soldiers this year.

Bosnia will send 5-10 military advisors next year.

Montenegro is considering to send a military medical team.

Georgia is sending over 700 forces over the next few years.

Sweden will increase it's contingent to ~500 soldiers.

Columbia is going to be the first South American ISAF member when it sends 100 de-mining specialist soldiers this year.

Belgium is sending four more F-16 fighter jets and 150 more troops.

Obama has announced a surge of 17,000 more US troops this year. Possibly more will be sent later.

India is also a possible future contributer, with the US and India increasing security cooperation.
