First off, I would like to thank Ubisoft for makeing me a profile and not giveing me the stupid password. So therefor I had to make another one just to say what I want on this forum. I would like to say congrats to the dev.team, for getting out of being responsable for this poorly developed game. I wonder if you all worned the new team about the crap you left behind you. If this is the best Ubi can do maybe they should sale out or something. Let someone that knows what they are doing do your job. Cause you all are really not good at this stuff. You should have done something about the match makeing. This is really sad. Millions for crap. Just like America. Sad

I'm just hoping they're using this time to make EndWar 2 a greater success. Oh, and how's it going anAMATURE? Just saw you a little while ago (it's Andrew).

Edit: It's not the match making itself that's at fault, it's that people don't generally play on maps that are unbalanced (expect a few like me, cuz I don't give a crap what map it is lol), so people play on maps that they have supports on, but their opponents avoid those maps entirely.

I fight fast, hard and well. Do the same and you'll have my respect.

To be honest, if I could pick one thing to be added before they drop support it would be matchmaking improvements. It's moronic that you can't filter on 1v1 / 2v2 / 4v4. Also, if there's no one immediately available for a game when searching, it dumps you into a map for you to wait for opponents, that's ridiculous. You should be left searching until opponents are available on any map - that would match people up a lot faster.

You can filter, but not with quick match. Go to "mission options".

To those expecting an Endwar2:

Not a chance. UBI is very consistant with how they support games with a future.

Rainbow Six Vegas had patches (not good ones) released up to a year after the game came out. The only reason post-game development continued that long was because the Devs were working on Vegas 2 on the same game engine.

All other UBI games have support dropped after 3-4 months. So, it is quite easy to see that if the support for Endwar has ended, then so has any chance of an Endwar2 unless they plan on starting fresh with a new engine, which is quite unlikely considering the poor sales and small playerbase for another UBI failure.

Perhaps the Ubisoft CEO was talking about this game when he said "Some of our games did not meet the required quality levels to achieve their full potential".

Message message To all players of ubi games.
Ea is behind ubis downfall/ ,. With Electronic Arts the new owner of almost 20 percent of Ubisoft, you might expect that company's leader to wobble a bit in the unexpected limelight. Yves Guillemot does anything but.

Just five days before Christmas, last year, Electronic Arts dropped an explosive bit of news on the wires. In a short press release, it acknowledged having purchased an estimated $85-$100 million worth of Ubisoft shares.

The move--a surprise to the vast majority of industry observers--gave it a 19.9 percent ownership position in one of its fiercest competitors. Wedbush Morgan senior analyst Michael Pachter told GameSpot, "I think EA is interested in Ubisoft's development talent and in its Gameloft investment [in wireless games]."

But is that all? "I don't know if EA wants to take them out," Pachter said, "but given that Ubi has a pretty strong set of licenses and great development--with a more Euro-centric sales profile--it's a combination that makes sense from EA's perspective."

Pachter assessed the stock acquisition as something clearly less benign than what EA had portrayed it as. "EA is not in the business of making passive investments in public companies," Pachter concluded.

Regardless of its motives, the builders of famous franchises that include Madden and Medal of Honor now own a block of Ubisoft shares second in size only to the chunk owned by the company's founders, one of whom is its CEO and president, Yves Guillemot.

Rockstars man spoke to Guillemot shortly after the transaction was announced.

Rockstar inside man me: Yves, to most observers, EA and Ubisoft are archrivals who compete for market share, mind share, shelf space, and talent. It's hard to believe the two parties can work toward common goals. Assuming all regulatory issues are cleared, your board of directors will have to acknowledge EA's wishes as they might other shareholder's. How do you expect this marriage to get on?

Yves Guillemot: Although EA and Ubisoft are both leading game publishers, I wouldn’t say we are archrivals. All players in the industry compete for market share, shelf space, and talent, but as the past few months have shown, the market is growing, and the more outstanding titles that hit the shelves, the more the market grows. So getting great games out there is a common goal that all publishers share.

me: So how do you read the move by Electronic Arts?

YG: I have stated on the record that I view this action on the part of EA as hostile.

me: Do you see malevolence at its core?

YG: Until we have further information, we cannot say what EA’s goals might be.

me: How does having EA as a major shareholder affect the issue of disclosure, specifically company strategy?

YG: In terms of the company’s confidential strategy, that information is not provided to any of our shareholders. This has always been our policy, and we have consistently shown ourselves worthy of the confidence of our shareholders.

me: Are there remaining shares of the company that are vulnerable to acquisition by Electronic Arts, and if so, is Ubisoft management considering options if EA were to become a majority shareholder?

YG: Ubisoft is a publicly traded company, with 22.8 percent of its voting rights held by the company’s founders. Of the remaining capital publicly held, 13 percent of voting rights are in the hands of financial institutions and 44.5 percent are in the hands of small shareholders. The management is studying all its options under several different scenarios.

me: Given this twist in the company's timeline, what does the future hold for Ubisoft?

YG: For the immediate future, we are still looking forward to a record-breaking fourth quarter, with the release of several titles which you [in the press] also seem to be eagerly anticipating.

me: What about the long-term outlook?

YG: When looking at the longer-term, our only concern is the risk that we may not be allowed to fully realize our vocation of being creators of high-quality games. Our goal is to create the best games available, and our teams are motivated and love what they do because they see that this is the key to their success. Our philosophy has been to change the terms of success in this industry, so that a successful game is one that is innovative and creative.

me: Is that philosophy at risk?

YG: We hope that recent events will not affect Ubisoft’s capacity to be creative and that we'll continue to make outstanding games, or for that matter, that the industry as a whole will not find itself in a situation where the quality of games is no longer a factor of success.

me: Your company's mission statement is supported by six core values, one of which is to "play fair." Do you feel that EA has played fair in this stock acquisition?

YG: Considering the industry practice of communicating informally about such decisions, we were disappointed, to say the very least, that EA chose not to inform us of their specific plans beforehand.

me: Yves, Ubisoft was founded by you and four of your brothers back in 1986. Now, with a competitor owning the second largest block of voting shares, what do you say to those who say this could be the beginning of the end for Ubisoft?

YG: . A minority stake in the company--even if it is held by a competitor--remains just that, a minority stake. I think Ubisoft will end and i might move on to your job and work for rockstar, laughs", and time will tell what the future holds i look forward to working for ea in the future..Will you be working for ea or rockstar in the future <?

me: Yves, I might go where the money is i enjoy going undercover to get inside info.thank you very much.for time ,.

Me: yevs will you allow Ea to completely takeover ubi ,.

Yg:Yes wheels are in motion.

Me: Thank you for your time again ,.

Yg: Smiles ,.

It's time to move on to new projects? are you serious Ubisoft Development team? Have you played Endwar? Does it seem like your job is done? anyone who's played the game will agree with me and respond NO. wanna know why? here it is,
-The game freezes 98% of the time with an AI commander.
-Evac helicopters just get frozen up and chill there till unit is killed.
-Gunships dont evac completely.
-Game splits every 5 game, and then resumes for each player at a time so you have to wait for everyone else to finish and then you can start continuing with the abandoned units of the disconected opponent.
-Hostile units turn into allied units often and they can atack but can not be targetted.
-game freezes in messaging screen so often.
-game freezes in various other situations.
And there is so much more I wont mention,
It is not time for a new project, it is time you give us our moneys worth. bY fixing up this potentially brilliant game which is so unsuccessful thanks to your poor advertising and software development.

Ah right, but yeah was referring to quick match. Quick match is so badly implemented and easy to fix. It frustrates me they wouldn't even put the time into sorting such a small thing out which would make such a big difference to wait times.

You would think at some point a Dev would jump in and acknowledge the frustrations we all feel or offer some sort of consoling statement or hell better yet maybe stand up for them selves . If you really think about it this thread sums up End War as a whole they make a half heart statement and vanish like a thief in the night.

A team of developers are continuing to monitor and make sure ToW is running smoothly? They sure aren't doing a good job monitoring the PS3 server. It's been down for a day now.
