I'll start by saying I'm sure this post will either be closed down and or deleted from the forums but that's ok because it's getting to be ridiculous with what's going on. Feel free to warn me or ban me or whatever it is you do, if you do indeed do something, with these forums.

So on Sunday August 16th I awoke from my slumber eager and ready to jump on endwar and use the double xp weekend to my advantage to rank up the units in my new battalion and gain much needed money to be where I previously was. Only to discover yet another "gray day" waiting for me in the ToW. Now what I ask is the problem with your servers that allows 2 colliding factions to win the same territory?! This wouldn't even be that big of a deal if it was a rare occasion, but lets face facts, its not. I was ok when you guys said that you were working on fixing the bugs and to an extent did that, when you delivered to us some new unit upgrades and what not, when you announced that you were no longer coming out with DLC or anything for the game because you had moved on but stated that people would be there to monitor the servers so they would continue to run. Unfortunately this hasn't been going to plan real well. Just recently I wound up playing an assault match over the weekend and jumped from 60 whatever and 2 weekly win/loss to a surprising 60 whatever and 19 win/loss after one game. I don't really know how that works but I think it takes talent to lose 17 games at one time after one match...This is just one example of the endless bugs and problems the game has had since its release. If its too much to ask to give us something worth paying for, which I guess I can't complain too much I picked up my second copy brand new at game stop for $20 after I destroyed my original copy on accident. Let someone else produce endwar 2 or something. If you're going to make it I'd much rather you hold off releasing it until a lot of these issues are addressed. You rushed the release of the original after the beta failed because you wanted it on the shelves at the same time as such titles like Call of Duty 5 WaW and Gears of War 2 only to have anyone looking forward to your game greatly disappointed and the player base pretty much destroyed before it ever got going due to bugs. Take the extra time needed to make this game something to remember and it will stay around a lot longer. This idea and franchise has a huge opening in the console world for those interested in RTS because of its ground breaking technology and ideas but if you keep destroying the name then yes I'd agree with the PC world...RTS belongs there if you don't want to take the time to make it work on a console. I thought you guys came extremely close with this due to the easily learned controls and maneuvers allowing for much more depth later on once things were achieved.

You will always have a hardcore fan base and with this being an RTS it may only be able to support something like that. If that's the case take the warnings from one of your followers and try to produce something that will allow us great enjoyment for years to come.

Sincerely,
thehighlife88 #7 persistent; #4 EFEC (Xbox 360)

You should write a book on this.

But, 1 quick question....How did the Beta fail??

The beta failed because all of the bugs and issues still in the game today were brought up to the programmers and producers when it came out. They were made aware of the problems and people voiced their opinions and concerns yet no one listened. The game was released with very little modifications in terms of over all programming or lay outs. That dealt with disappearing units, deep strike glitches, and all those other things they made patches for later on. Which still didn't solve everything. The beta only made in game changes such as the restrictions on unit deployments for each game type; ie: only 2 artillery at a time, only 6 infantry, only 1 cv etc, etc. It also fixed a few lesser know things like russian tanks had "mine busters" on the front of their vehicles that would actually destroy mines causing no damage.

My only disappointment with the DLC and everything else that went into play is the lack of support the EFEC artillery got. While the other 2 factions receive up to 7 attacks, EFEC got 3...why? An artillery has no self defense it is purely an offensive weapon, kind of a waste with only 3 attacks don't you think. Now I'm not saying you need to turn it into a moon shot like JSF or a wrecking ball like SGB, but if speed was indeed their specialty why not even the playing field by doing: Attack 4- Rate of Fire at hardened, Attack 5- Range= hardened, Attack 6- Damage= veteran, Attack 7- Accuracy= veteran? That wouldn't put it's range or damage anywhere near the other two factions but it would make it's use more noticeable and people would somewhat have to respect it. I also believe the EFEC engineers should have received a better special attack because this faction was suppose to be the most technologically advanced and specialize in urban warfare...so they get a "tazer"? Which is basically squad machine gun fire in blue lasers

(thanks again shanghai for being original and giving Russia grenades AND flamethrowers while JSF and EFEC get to share machine guns Shady)

Actually Deep Strike Glitches and Units dissappearing WEREN'T problems in the Beta. Admittedly there was a problem with the bug report and the majority of people who got the Beta didn't go to the forums (nothing new there though). And peoples opinions and concerns were listened to, only allowing 2 artillery units was because people would just spam Artillery and Transports.

And Europe also specialise in Less Than Lethal weapons, like Tazers.

But take a look at any RTS game, they ALL have bugs in the final game and patches can't fix everything. Even Total War games have bugs. The only reason people make such a big deal about them in EW is because your units are persistent, if one of them goes AWOL then you know about it.

You know what helps?

1.change your battalion. all your units go to rookie.

2.delete all endwar saved data on your console. that way, to play endwar again, you need to wait through 15 minutes of patches.

3. trade it in for another game.

follow these steps, and you notice how the bugs woont bother you half as much within a week. it worked for me.
