Well, WIC:SA was ready to release when VU games and Sierra were merged into Activision in July 2008. The game was put on hold until sometime in fall when it was announced that Activision sold Massive to Ubisoft along with the WIC franchise.

By industry standards, a game that is ready to ship in July has probably had it`s CRC approved by all needed instances (1st party, QA, Technical, Legal...) by early May so that the game may go to repro and stuff.

A CRC approved in May means that probably late march they were maybe fixing the last bugs and the game was probably feature complete by February 2008.

That means that most things had to be implemented before, and most of the time, a long time before.

What I mean is, if they ripped off End War, it means Ubisoft had serious leaks before it even announced the game to public. That might be a huge problem and a huge legal problem for Sierra.

Sorry for late post and bump, I found this page by searching for Soviet Assault and laughed so hard when I read the claim.

yepp ubi bought it and then scraped it for consol.

so now endwar will be the only real RTS on consol for a long time.

WiC is so much better than endwar, plus, it also has voice commands

better graphics too

But to bad it didnt freakin come out for the console, that ticked me off I wanted it alot

Ehh, I played the WiC demo on my comp, and it's not that much fun. Something about it feels much more... sterile than EndWar. Plus, it's just a different kind of game.

Btw, are you really gonna call EndWar on having worse graphics, given it's an older game?

guys relax wic is now made by ubisoft because ubi baught the company but endwar is still better

Um, no. 2 days ago, Ubisoft put out a press release talking about the PC version and said that "There are currently no plans for a console release"

WTF are you talking about? World in Conflict came out before Endwar, so therefore it is WiC is older
