Well yeah for a while now i've been wondering what Australia will do in World war 3. Now i know most of you will straight away go "That's easy the commonwealth will stay netural"

Well what if i told you that the government is pushing for Asutral;ia to leave the commonweatlth in two years? Oh now what do you think?

I mean Australia has one of the best trained armies in the world. We may be slightly not as well equipped (we just got TWO Abrams tanks, TWO!) but our main weapon, the F88 Ausstreyr is better and more reliable than the M16A2 from what i've heard. As well as the fact that we have pretty much the best special forces in the world apart from maybe the SAS and prehaps some american ones although i have read that we actually train some of the DELTA guys.

Also if you look back over history Australian troops have done incredible things. Galliopli in WW1 our first ever combat as the nation of Australia, sure it was a complete millitary failure but we were a bloody hurtful thorn in Turkey's side for just under 9 months and that was in absolultey hellish conditions (look up the battle of Galliopli to find out why) then in WW2 We held off Rommels Afrika corps with far smaller numbers at Tobruk as well as pioneerinjg the SAS and such small strike groups alongside teh british, later our untrained under equipped millita went through hell and back at Kokoda and still held off the far larger Japanese force. Later again in Vietnam and Korea we fought extemley hard alongside the Americans at major battles like Long Tan.

So after all that, all we've been through why aren't we even mentioned as a blip in Endwar?

So yes what do you guys think?

P.S It was an Asutralian that pioneered the Manhattan project near the end of World War 2

correction the 1st war australia fought in was the boar war. the war did start before federation but it went on for about a year after it. and gallipoli wasn't the 1st combat australia had in WWI either. just thought i should correct that for everyone. and australia isn't mentioned in the game because the game doesn't focus on our region. it focuses on the north atlantic.

Iknow our first combat as Asutralia was the Boer war but since we weren't Asutralia when its started i didn't really count it and i mean come on i doubt anyone else would notice. As for the region thing yeah thats true but at least they could expand the games background fiction a bit, i mean look at halo taht game's background is huge! it has stuff that people don't even know about like the rainforest wars and stuff.

it's important for history to be retold accuratley and for them expanding the game to include us and others there is always the hope of a aequel/expansion that will do this.

I forgot where I read it but there was a hint that the commonwealth will band together and be a faction in an expansion pack or something like that.

That would be an awesome expansion pack. The commonwealth would deck. With the Australian special forces and our Special Air Service (S.A.S) we couldn't be beaten.

The Canadians are in the same position the Australians are in...except were in the North Atlantic and get invaded by all 3 factions...I hope they dont attack my city...

Anyways Canada and Australia are almost the same for the most part. Both are trying to leave the commonwealth, both have ok armies, both were colonies under Britian for a long time, neither could enter a war and win alone. Lets face it our armies suck compared to Russia, America, China, Britian, Iran, Israel, etc...

Yeah, i deffinately think that ubisoft's saving up the commonwealth for an expansion. The studio thats developing the game is in Shanghai after all, so i suppose that China will join later on with Russia because of their healing relationship since the days of Stalin. And if that happens, China, Vietnam and North Korea are probably going to try to steamroll over Asia i guess.

The only countries in the British commonwealth capable of even putting up a fight in Asia, would be Pakistan, India, Australia and perhaps my country, Malaysia. (Afterall, we did defeat the Indonesians in a war only a few decades ago, and if you look at a map, it'd be like watching Italy invade Switzerland and losing.)

Although there is a possibility that Australia or any other commonwealth state might leave, i think the chances of that are really slim. I just really hope a Moderator or Ubisoft guy see's this so my country can get into the commonwealth spotlight later on

Just opn the delta thing from what ive seen they do joint training ops together

that could still mean they are training them but i think by joint that means together but hey if delta wants to do an excersize with you that means your pretty good

I think it would be intersting to see the what the commonwealth has in store....the only problem i see with a commonwealth alliance is distance

Canada and Britian are surronded by enemies so idk maybe

if they do have an expansion they should make it so all the places with stan as a part of their name ( pakistan, afghanistan, etc) get together and made one big country

Well its probable that the commonwealth will be divided by the end of this game. Canada will probably join the JSF, the british isles will join with the enforcers, etc. Since the game has stated many times that it focuses only on the north atlantic scenario for combat ops we will hear rumors of whats happen around the globe but i doubt that they will play a significant role until the expancion when to keep the three factions going the rest of the commonwealth bar australia will join the enforcers while australia will join the jsf and the three already established factions will fight off China.

I mean the SAS is beast, but the Australian Special Forces. LOL. The JSF would beat you sideways and the Russians too. Maybe not the EF because I just realized they are a bunch panzees with a big laser. JSF all the way.

Well I don’t think that they will be in EndWar considering it is the Atlantic Theater but I think they would side with the Americans.

Could you imagine the federation of Asian and Pacific States? Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Phillipines, China, Korea and Japan, all moulded into one superpower. Ah, what a dream...
