I know a tank is strong, but first of all....., we need a space for at least 3 guys inside, not for the politician tto get stuck in the entrance... and IF he gets to get inside the tank..... yeah we'll have to push that tank to the battlezone for over weight insid e:P

I voted no, I think using robots as tools on the battlefield is cool, but I really dont want them to replace humans. For some reason I just feel that robot vehicles are boring compared to manned vehicles

Perhaps like a lot of things in life there needs to be a compromise. I don't know the definitve answer but i bet it;s a black and white question with the answer being shades of grey.

I don't mind the use of say UAVs with a human in the loop acting as a scout.

i like the idea of the EOD(guys that disable explosive and IEDs etc.) having machines do the most dangerous part of their job.

I like idea of remotely contolled CASEVAC(casualty evactuaion)vehicles that keep one wounded soldier to be moved without taking four more men out of the fight to carry him.

I like the M.U.L.E. but think it would be better as a warehouse or general utility vehicle but on the front lines a malfunction could leave soldiers without their gear and may casue them to fail the mission or be killed as a result

Now a close a support UCAV(unmanned combat aerial vehicle) with no human in control could malfunction and drop bombs on friendlies or screw the mission up.

Well maybve in the end drones should be used just not always on the front line.....but how about in the rear with the gear?

The Marines are naval infantry. They are typically better trained in amphibious assaults and there are also typically small Marine contingents aboard naval vessels. The Marines are typically described as "elite" because they are more rapidly deployable than most Army units, and thus are usually the first deployed to a conflict. However, the Army typically has heavier equipment, and is better equipped to fight a longer battle.

Oo I see... So the arm is mroe of the bulk of the force. The marines are the small squads who prepare days, even months before the first attack?

SO where do the rangers fit into??? or are they like the navy seals?

Rangers are like the weaker version of Navy SEAL but a more effective version of Marines.

My Personal Rank of the most elite of the elite Unit in the US JSOC or USSOC
1. Some secret CIA, FBI, NSA or military unit
2. Another secret unit
3. Delta
4. DEVGRU
5.SEALS
6. This is hard but US Army Rangers
7. Green Berets or Marine Force Recon

the marines was about of the navy back in the day. before america was america and at the early start marines were known as the guys who would be on a ship whos sole purpose was to protect it. the sailers sailed and the soldiers on board were marines. alos hence an officers dress hat has a cross pattern on the top of it. this was so navy sharp shooters(now are marines scout snipers) could tell them apart when they would be up in the crows nest firing down on enemys. later on it was decided that the branch split into two brances. hence the marines and navy were born. navy deals with ships and so forth and so not. marines are "navy soldiers" i guess you can call them. but they trained in beach landings and so forth.

in todays world the marines are known as the tip of the spear. they are ALWAYS the first deployed in any major war/battle. they take on most of the assualts at the early stages of a war. then once the army (me lol) gets our gear packed and all toys war toys put in the upright position. we are flown in and take over what the marines have already done.

also think of it this way. each branch has a budget. they cant over spend that. and typically the branches have the same budget. so if the marines were with the navy, they would have more personell but less funding. less funding means less affective combatants to send to war. also you need more thenjust one major land fighting branch. hence a good example would be iraq/afgh.
