the game strutters a lot on more open spaces making it almost unplayable, even tho i have most settings set on low.

what would you recommend? is my cpu to slow for this game? the recommended settings for me is on high on most things, but that just makes it lag more :S.

Intel P4 2.4GHz is a little below the system requirements but should be no problem

Geforce 7600GS is a low medium perf card, the 512MB is just big and fat without being usefull but also this card is good enough for the game at medium settings.

i have bought the collectors edition version(dvd) and i am playing the single and multiplayer version from steam. i had some problems with the game freezing at start and stuff but i got that fixed by following some steps on the forum. i have also defragmented my HD several times using diskeeper lite.

after you have done that, test the game again and please let me know the result.

ok so after i have put thos dx files in a new folder i just click the dxsetup and then it should be updated? and btw how do i see what my intel chipset is?

Double-click the dxsetup.exe.
You have a i845 chipset. I would advise you to visit Dell support for your motherboard first, before visiting Intel supportsite.

Edit: forget that, they (Dell) stop at 2002 as update...
I don't expect you need any chipset update anyway.
Edit 2: those from 2002 are the latest from Intel as well.

i appriciate the help, but now when i had installed the new nvidia driver and dx9 update i restarted my comp and when i ran the game i got a bluescreen and when it restart by itself. then when i got to the desktop it says the computer has been restored after a serious problem. tried to run it again and got the same thing with the bluescreen. so now i cant even start the game . what the f**k?

sorry im not really goood with computers :S. i just installed the new drivers and the dx9 update and restarted. and my f-secure is allowing mm.exe and i also removed system check in f-secure, becouse i couldnt play then game with it enabled. sry i feel like and idiot now :/

Of course shut down f-secure before running the game. Please always have no antivirus- or any other systemprotection software running while (local) gaming.

But, is your problem solved now?

no not really :S. its a small diffrence, but not like its noticable :/. and im not having any other processes running when im playing and it still lags :/.

If you had Steam installed some time before you installed/updated the game, Steam is now your main suspect.
