I just recently got the Limited Edition DVD-ROM version of Dark Messiah, installed it, got the two patches installed in order, and got around to playing it...
and it seems to love crashing, a lot.

It first crashed when I first started the game, couldn't see the error message (heard the tone Windows makes when there is an error), got stuck staring at the loading screen right before the main menu, had to reboot.

After reboot, I did get the game running, it ran fine, as well as the demo did, I was playing through the first level, got the sword in the chest, which apparently doomed my game... it crashed...

Tried to reload the last autosave (right before getting the sword), it crashed.
Tried to reload a quick save a little earlier in the first stage, it crashed.

Tried to restart the game again, icons flickered a moment, the game appeared in the task bar for all of a half second and vanished. Game refused to start, so I rebooted.

Upon rebooting my computer, and trying to start the game again, it again crashed on startup.

Restarted the game again, then tried to load the autosave, it crashed, retried with the quick save, it crashed.

After some more crashes and a reboot, tried to start a new game, a few seconds into the loading bar for the first leve, it crashed...

Assorted errors I have noted.
Most common one (most of the times it crashes)

Click on OK to terminate the program

The crash on trying to start a new game, got the following two messages

Click on OK to terminate the program

I was excited to be able to find this game while actually having money to get it, now I am feeling very dissapointed, especially since the demo used to run with no trouble on my computer.
