I know this isn't isolated because I've seen people talking about it on the servers while playing the multiplayer DM.

It doesn't happen every time it seems, but when the game get's to about 80% done loading a new map it just freezes up causing me to have to reboot. I haven't seen any posts specifically talking about this and was wondering if anyone had a fix or if anyone had posted that they're working on it?

I crash when i load aswell and its really buggin me

i can load up into a mutiplayer first time no problems crashes for me on next map loading at about 80 percent everytime,if i close application and reopen it will load up until next mapchange

i have read on forums that if u just let it be it will load in around 15 mins seriously.life is too short.

I signed up just to reply to this topic...that's how desperate I am to fix this freaking bug.

It's not 80% but rather 90%. It will just be stuck there. Nothing would happen. If you reboot the game then you can load it to full but when you get to the next map, it will do that 90% stuck thing again! Please, can someone find a fix to this problem? It's ruining the game I bought for 50 freaking dollars!!!

very annyoying playing at level 1 every new map

I have exact same proble. MP freezes while loading a map. My computer is high end no idea whats causing it

use Alt+F4 to go back to the main screen

I have exact same prob MP will load first map fine(slowly, but fine) on mapchange it will get to 85-90% then just freeze. Plz FIX!!!

Actually thats incorrect. What happens is you sit at the loading screen while the map you thought you were loading is being played. When the game actually loads, its because the server is on the next map.

I have the exact same problem. First map loads fine, second map gets to 80% or so and freezes in the same spot. Alt-tab and ctrl-alt-del to end the program. Then I start it back up and join the server again, just in time for the next map change and thus another freeze. This is rediculous. Please help ubisoft!
I don't know if this makes any difference, but the loading bar is not where it's supposed to be, it's way off to the left.
Reccomendation: go get valve people and show them your code--they're good at stuff like this.

Well that's a disappointment. I search and search for an answer to this issue and finally find this thread and NO ANSWERS. Is there an answer to this, I'm getting the exact same thing now, in 2008.
