Hi!

I bought Dark Messiah from Steam a few days ago and now gave it a try. Seemed to work quite nicely for the first few minutes, but after I cleared the first part of chapter one, I got these model errors everywhere. First it seemed like it affected just torches and other lightsources, but apparently also shelves and such give these errors.



I tried lowering the graphics settings but that didn't really seem to help either. Any ideas what I should do? I'm not 100% sure if Steam downloaded the game properly so I might try deleting and re-downloading it if there isn't any quick fixes I could try.. there at least seemed to be a lot of problems trying to get the download to start, and one time the game launched with just 34% of it downloaded.

The 3D ERROR model means you have not the proper model.
Try reloading the game from Steam.
You can try downloading GCFScape.
With it you can extract the content of DM .gcf files, if you get an error while extracting, you have a corrupt or incomplete file.

Deleting and re-downloading the game files seemed to fix that. Probably was just a bad download the first time around.
