To prevent Dark Messiah memory error just follow these instructions
This is only a fix for users with NERO. It is to remove the annoying Quicktime filters in NERO. You won't notice any change in NERO, don't worry! And no effects on your machines.

click on START
the click on RUN
type cmd
then type the two following lines in seperately.

regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\NeQTADec.ax"

regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\NeQTVDec.ax"

IMPORTANT: after the above, you will need to restart your PC and THEN try the game
