Here's what I got:

Windows XP sp2
Nvidia GeForce 6600
2gigs ddr2 RAM
80+ gigs free hard drive space
AMD Athlon 64 x2 4200+ 2.2 ghz

Dark Messiah (and others) are barely running better than they did on my old ATI Radeon card. It just doesn't make sense, everything should run like buttah on this machine right? I just formatted less than a week ago too....Can anyone offer up any ideas? I can post a dxdiag.txt if that'll help, but I really appreciate any input.

Geforce 6600 isn't highend card, it is midrange card. Also double core doesn't do much, too many people thinks they will have huge performance increase when they upgrade to double core CPU, wrong many games are made for single core only and don't benefit from other CPU, just like Dark Messiah. I am running this game like a butter with Radeon 9700 and Athlon XP 2.13 Ghz CPU

It better be a GF 6600 GT, it is on par with the Radeon 9700Pro (which i have in my 'low end' system, and runs the game excellently, just like Quenaelin's.

Yea, I'm probably just expecting too much. Thanks for the input. Next in line is a new video card for my system...
