My game has been running perfectly on medium-high settings and hasn't even stuttered, until now. As soon as I get into the room above the cellar in chapter 2 (the throne room and other rooms) the game slows down to the point that it is unplayable - less than 1 FPS. I thought I could just turn my settings way down. With EVERYTHING (including HDR, Bloom and textures) off or turned down to the minimum the game still lags just as much. I thought it might be my hardware. I searched these and other forums, as well as tweakguides.com for some kind of fix. I have turned almost everything off and defragged, created a larger (4gb) page file, optimised my dual core processor and freed up 20gb of hard drive space, and it is still unplayable. Could someone please help me?

Specs are:
AMD Athlon Dual Core Processor 3800+
1GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7800GT
