When I try to run DM MP trough steam, I get this message. Engine Error

I have allowed DM MP Application in Windows firewall and in F-secure. But still it is the same

Are you trying to connect to a server, or to host a server? Not all ISP's allow hosting.

If you use a router, you have a hardware firewall. Then disable Windows Firewall completely.

Also, check if you can manage your connection with F-Secure disabled (or reboot without) as well.

I havent even connected to any server, cause Im only able to get into main menu. Then 1 second and game closes and this error message appears.

Disable F-secure and Windows firewall, still got that error.

You have not activated the game through Steam? Go to 'My Games' list, click button 'Activate a product on Steam'.

Then let's look at your settings.

You have the list of settings for DM stored in Registry.
>>> Copy the settings for the game from the Source entry in Registry.
Click Start > Run... type in
regedit
click OK.
Navigate to the key
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Source\mm]
you see in the picture below, and highlight it.



Right-click on the key > Export...
In the Name box, type for instance:
Valve_Source_mm-key
In the Filetype box leave it at 'Registryfile (*.reg)'.
Click Save.
It is now saved into the My Documents folder.

In My Documents folder, find this .reg file.
Right-click on it > Open with... select Notepad. Put your cursor in the text, select all then copy and paste it into your next reply.

@ Hagge1992: the settings are directly related to your hardware, i can't say anything about them without your dxdiag report also.

Post your dxdiag report:

@ Kalucos: i should have asked you the same, but i already had guessed that you were using a wrong resolution. In your .reg file (opened with Notepad) change:

I just checked, and see that the Multiplayer settings are NOT stored in Registry. I'm now studying the .cfg files in Steam directory.

apply -dxlevel 90 to the MP shortcut.
For ATI X600: Launch game, go to options > Advanced, then change HDR to none.

EDIT! I recommend you use:
-dxlevel 95
onto the target box of the shortcut.
And do NOT remove the parameter.
