hey nero its the peach again...
everything ha been fine for like a few days, but the gameplay has slowly deteriorated. First it was every once in a while it would crash and i would have to restart my comp. Then everything would be fine.

Lately its been crashing more often after maybe an hour of gameplay.

Now it crashes almost imediatley after i start playing. Maybe 30 sec

i then get a mm.exe error and it shuts down

here are my specs again and etc.

Many people already had Steam installed for a longer time before they bought and installed Dark Messiah. Something in the older version seems to be the cause for this issue.

So, do this:

-backup your game(s) using the Steam backup function
-uninstall Steam and manually delete remaining files and folders
-defragment your hdd(s)
-clean your registry from Steam
-Use CCleaner to get rid of the last crumbs you may have missed
-reinstall the current version of Steam (redownload from Valve: http://www.steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=getsteamnow) <-- if you get an Error page, just click on "GET STEAM NOW" at the top.
-restore your game(s).
