Hello everyone !
I just bought new Dark Messiah ... After instal i update all newest
patche's... after this i want to start game... and game only display big
black screen... no sound , no vids ...i have all software like DirectX etc.
, and pretty good PC with Windows Vista 64 (maybe vista is a problem )... i
looking for the answear everwhere and nothin' :/
Please , if any one know the what would happen inform me

Windows Vista is not a supported OS for use with this software. I can only provide support for what is on the box:

Supported OS: Windows XP (only)

OH WAIT. I BOUGHT IT DIGITALLY ON STEAM. JUST LIKE EVERY GAME I BUY. AND THOSE GAMES WORK NO PROBLEM. I can't tell you the last time I bought a game at a brick and mortar store. So stop telling me to read the ****ing box.

I'll tell you what I did read. The System Requirements. On the steam page from which I bought this steaming pile.

Ok let me go through the checklist here.
Minimum: AMD Athlon™, Pentium® 2.4 GHz; I have a Core2Duo 2.6 - check.
512MB RAM - 8GB DDR3 - check.
128MB video card - Nvidia 8800 GTS 640MB - check
7GB HDD Space - 1TB - check

So I all have AT A MINIMUM, what you require to run this game.

Mouse - I think I've got one somewhere.
Keyboard - What's that?
Internet Connection - What are the innnernets?

Windows XP - Nope. Do not have. I don't have the minimum of Windows XP. In fact, I have something even BEYOND that. I have Vista.

See. If it requires XP, you need to say so. Something like this would work: "OS REQUIREMENTS: WINDOWS XP" or maybe "THIS GAME REQUIRES WINDOWS XP"

What you "recommend" is irrelevant. You needed to revise your specs before you put your piece of **** on the weekend deal bargain bin and tried to milk what is left out of a ****ty old game.

What I recommend you do is issue me a refund for a piece of **** game with piece of **** support. You had no problem taking my 2009 dollars. Those dollars were just as spendable now as they were in 2006 when this game came out. Except I spent TODAY dollars to get 2006 ****.

Just a little clarification:
DM was old in 2006 already, 'cause Vista came few months later, and, being fair, it's been suffering serious issues since ever with XP too...

Don't worry about your $s, part of them surely will be royalties for an incompetent dev team...

Anyway DM DOES work with Vista 32/64 bit (mine's Ultimate 64), just an annoying issue when exiting, but again playable.

Some advices:
strangely DM can't stand a new OS, but pretends newer drivers for all your cards and chipset
Update them properly...
then follow my previous link to BlindNero for better
