@amerie... Amerie... he looks cute, he looks even better in person! His body is amazing and he does fot for the role... thats why he has been selected.
Many people disagree ... but its normal... ppl hate successful people... Josh Somerhalder is a very good actor and I have personally seen him and he matches all the requirements for the prince...

Pics on the net arent that good.. but i cant do anything.

Dont hate Josh!! Why not giving him a chance??

Anyway everybody hated Angelina for the role of lara... now everybody lves her....

Actually I would agree with you.
I like his smile, and also it's hard to predict how a person will look when he is all made up into the character he is playing.
I mean look at Viggo Mortensen who plays Aragorn in Lord of the rings, he is PERFECT as Aragorn, but seeing him how he looks outside of that character, as his normal self, I might not have thought so just by looking at him in that appearance, you have to see them in their costume and acting their part first.
That's how I usually try to do it, I don't make an opinion until I have
seen the movie and the actor in action.

but out of respect to all the other fellow members of POP community i will not retaliate him and i will withhold any further comments about josh somerhalder.
but i will say one thing. that fanclub site is no longer running.
AND accoding to imdb David Zandi will be playing the Prince, not somerhalder.

IMBD now took away entire casting list for POP:SOT. so i guess nothing is final yet.

A user on IMDb who claims to work for Disney said that the company is in talks with an unknown actor named David K. Zandi. The guy is a pretty reliable source,

If that sketch on the right is accurate, he is perfect to play the Prince. Much better than that Josh Solmerhalder guy.

This isn't America's Next Top Model. There is more to the Prince then his looks. He needs to be played by a good actor - something Orlando Bloom is not. Besides pretty much any post mentioning Orlando so far has all been typecast (sp?) It's either because he's already starred in close to 12 films where he uses a sword, or because of his Kingdom of Heaven look.

And to be quite honest, I don't think he (or Viggo Mortensen) look that similar to the Prince at all. Get Paul Walker to grow some facial hair and put on a black wig - people will probally say he looks like the Prince as well. If you want to judge this on looks, you should be looking for someone with a similar facial structure to the Prince, not someone with a beard and long black hair because quite frankly, almost anyone can fill in those shoes.

Well it shouldent be just about looks but goodlooking actors do attract more people to watch the movie.
I'm sure they wouldent put a guy in the film who had no acting abilities but I guess these days you never know, that film taxi, they put the super model Gisele in it and she really couldent act in fact I thought she was terrible.

Well, we know about Bahar Soomekh being the rumored Farah, but when the IMDB site seems to have "updated" and removed that title... What does it all mean!!!

Bahar Soomekh in my opinion, would make an excellent Farah, but I don't beleive she will be cast as the role. However, filming for the new film, Saw III, which Soomekh stars in, will be finished by the time filming for POP starts, so who knows...
