The Prince of Persia returns with new multiplayer feature

LONDON, UKâ€" 12th September, 2006

Today Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, announced Prince of Persiaâ® Rival Swords for the PSPâ® (PlayStationâ®Portable) system. Developed by Pipeworks Software, a Foundation 9 Entertainment company, the game builds on last year’s console success’ Prince of Persia The Two Thronesâ"ž¢, and features original content such as additional levels and new multiplayer modes. The game is scheduled to ship for Christmas 2006 in Europe and in 2007 in North America.

In Prince of Persia Rival Swords, the Prince makes his way home to Babylon, bearing with him Kaileena, the enigmatic Empress of Time, and unspeakable scars from the Island of Time. But instead of the peace he longs for, he finds his kingdom ravaged by war and Kaileena the target of a brutal plot. When she is kidnapped, the Prince tracks her to the palace â€" only to see her murdered by a powerful enemy. Her death unleashes the Sands of Time, which strike the Prince and threaten to destroy everything he holds dear. Cast out on the streets, hunted as a fugitive, the Prince soon discovers that the Sands have tainted him, too. They have given rise to a deadly Dark Prince, whose spirit gradually possesses him.

Key Features:

• New multiplayer experience: Versus play in timed races as either the Prince or Dark Prince. Interrupt and impede your opponent’s progress by activating switches in your own level that will trigger traps and obstacles in their level.

well at least i hope that the graphics will be better than in T2T, and i hope the story has less glitches and errors in it than T2T has,

It's PSP quality so... no...

Anything... I'll do anything for them, if they just put in all the cutscenes and stuff they didn't use from the very first early trailers!

not only a remake, but like in WW, with improvments . improved charriot combat (I hope you can jump on other charriots ) and probably whole new lvls!

Like so many others, I don't own a PSP, so I won't be getting it...but man alive, I do bitterly regret that I shall never play those new chariot races

No Joys, Because Already played the same thing, But a happiness that POP is still alive and I wish it will capture more hearts on the PSP

...i hoped on a hole new game. I won't get it because i already played it like 100 times.

ubisoft changed the name from T2T to rival blades just because it's multiplayered and it's on PSP? anyways i DO hope more people get interested with POP, i mean, the only thing worth looking through argos catalogue is a prince of persia game standing out from the bundle selection
