The concept sketches look pretty neat, but the in-game shot (?) looks sort of like poo. I do hope that's not how the finished game's gonna look.

I like that environmental artwork shot. But what's with that Prince. Looks kind of silly to me. I mean I love the look of the new PS3/360/PC title, but I'm not sure about character design shown in this thread. If it plays well, I'll be happy though. The story sounds kind of like the console/PC game, but with a different secondary character and different location. I am happy it's an action/adventure/platform type game though. I got Battles of PoP, but never finished it. Just got kind of boring to me. Not my type of game. I'm thinking stylus-driven means like Zelda or Ninja Gaiden which I liked, but it will be interesting to see how they handle platforming with the stylus since those games didn't have much of that. I'll keep an eye on this, hopefully it plays well.
Edit: I wonder why they didn't just keep the same character design as the other game. I mean Ninja Gaiden had anime style cutscenes, but Ryu's character design looked the same as well as other characters designs. Seems odd they went kind of kiddy with the Prince's design. I'll have to wait and see how it plays. Hard to tell from that screen and the description. |

This new game definitely looks like its trying to replicate the stylus capabilities of Phantom Hourglass.
Not sure what to make of it though. |

Well it's good news that Nintendo is getting something POP at least. Hopefully it will be a good game, can't really form an opinion based on seeing the in-game pic here. Agreeing with Rob, this particular pic doesn't impress me much.
Anyways, I don't own a DS so I probably won't be playing this game. Still, as said, finally something POP for Nintendo. But I'm more awaiting news regarding a Wii game though... |

Will, it looks promising, atleast looks better than BoPoP
 but the prince does look kinda weird, doesn't he? And it's the same PC storyline, but a Magus instead of Elika!  Anyway, since I got my sister's daughter a DSLite 6 months ago, I might buy it and play it on her DS  , it would be great if they release a PSP version also , since I got my sister's son a PSP also I know, PSP & a DS for 2 kids! Hey... that looks interesting!
I'm a bit disappointed that it's another art direction surprise, but I'm sure it'll be a good game! And the name is so much better than that other PoP DS game whose name I shall not mention since it was so horrible The main thing I'm concerned about is that this game should be fun to play... that's what the DS is all about! This one looks like it'll be quite a bit of fun to work with, hopefully! Oh, and to the people who are annoyed beyond belief at the style... guys seriously... do you still complain about graphics when you play PoP1? At least we're getting something. There are amazing old school games that have not yet had proper recognition. It just proves that critics never die I think we might have been better off when it was 5 years ago and we had next-to-nothing information on SoT... any piece of information we got was well-received and everyone was actually positive for a change.   |

What I don't get is, The Fallen King?! What do they mean by that title? Hey Chris, is it The Fallen Kingdom but you forgot the dom part?
Seriously, lets start speculating I'l go first:Will, what we know, the DS game storyline is with diffrent characters but connected to the other platforms storyline.. So, this prince is not the same prince from the other game, or is he? Or maybe this prince & his sidekick will meet up with the other prince & Elika at the end of the game & fight Ahriman together And the fallen king sub, who is this king? Ahriman? Orzmand? Or the king of persia (maybe our old prince )? I think my inner prince just died. Honestly, Ubisoft, that concept art looks like it belongs in Kingdom of Hearts. Where's that monstrous 12-pack at?
