Well, i have thought that we were talking too much about dogs in the pics thread, so i have decided to create this thread to post pics of our favourite dogs, and say why we like them

I will start. I have two very loved dogs

Small one: Beagle! They´re really cute ... and they are hunter dogs ... ¬¬ My boyfriend wants one of this ... But they look so good that i wanna hug them!!





My neighbor had one and i loved it!

And, as big size dogs, the golden retriever ^^ They´re cute, friendly, they always want to play ... this is the dog i wanna have someday ...




And siberian huskys are cool too The wolf dog!!




If next day 9 i´m finally in the lists of veterinarian university my dog will have to run away XD

I'm not much of a fan of small dogs because they can't really perform things that the big ones can. I especially dislike chihuahuas because they are undisciplined and annoying.

And the Akita Inu (not Akita Dog, which is the American version, they ruined it)

Those 4 dogs along with Boxers and Dogue De Bordeauxs are considered the best family pets and guardians.

I like Golden Retrievers, Labs, and Huskys. I used to dislike chihuahuas too but I've met some really well behaved ones that were trained well. So with Chihuahuas, I think most people spoil them so they get very rotten and mean. It all comes down to the owner and how you train them imo, which is why I don't judge a dog automatically based on it's breed anymore (it's like when people automatically say, all pit bulls are mean and vicious dogs, that will tear you shreds when they see you). So, even though I have favorite dog breeds, I don't hate or dislike the other ones. My brother's pit bull though, now that's a undisciplined and annoying dog right there. She's really friendly anyway.

I own 2 mutts right now though. One is mixed with a chihuahua and rat terrier and her son is a Chow Chow mix. I had Golden Retriever and Shih Tzu mix but they both died of old age they good dogs.

Funny thing is, APBT was originally bred to be a family dog, and still is with respectable breeders, it's drug dealers and other gangsters that end up destroying their names.

Speaking of Chihuahuas...I've seen rats bigger than them >_> lol regardless, no dog should be carried in a purse as a fashion accessory (paris hilton, I'm looking at you >_>

PUGS! Cute, little, shnuffy-wuffy Pugs!

I never really used to like Pugs, until I recently started to the find them ridiculously cute. Cute because they're quite ugly.

The Scottish Deerhound.

Good dogs. They stick in my mind because my school friend used to have one, it used to jump up in a friendly way, but it still freaked me out because it was quite a large dog. Other than that it was exceptionally friendly.

My favourite dog is a cross-breed. I had a puppy once (we named him Taz) who was: 1/2 German Shepherd; 1/4 Border Collie; 1/4 I-have-no-idea.
He had an overall German Shepherd appearance with a few little Collie features. I started training him and he picked everything up very quickly. Brilliant dog, he was.
We didn't keep him past the four month stage though. Fortunately he didn't die, but we had to give him up because of my dad.

I agree with Khaleed and Razor: German Sheperds, then Rottweilers.
Then [Edit: I messed up the name lol]Huskys and then this ones:

they are cool

PD: I dont also like small dogs, they're useless IMO, the only small dog I wouldnt mind having at all and just because it looks pretty funny is the Pug

Yeah, but they can't handle too much food...plus they can't really save you when you need them, only big dogs can

@Lester: Isn't the first one Bullmastiff? amazing dogs, very strong, luckily they're very lazy.The second is some sort of Mastiff a well, I think Neapolitan Mastiff.

EDIT: just checked image links doesn't say what first one is, but I was right about the second, lol

Scottish Terrier's are vicious little things. I remember when I used to do a paper round in the mornings, there were a few houses with dogs, but the only dog that was loud was the Terrier. It always snatched the paper out of my hand

So, your dog's usefulness is extremely limited.

i dont have a dog to keep my house and attack people. I have a dog to be my friend and love him ^^ My boyfriend says that when we get a house and we buy a dog, he will teach him to hunt. Buuuuut ... i´m not gonna let that happen no, if you show too much love to a hunt dog he doesnt work well XD XD XD XD no hunting little boy, no hunting, BAD BAD!!

I know my whole family knows about the true nature of pit bulls, which is why I find it sad when people say that about them. I seen lots of people who do put Chihuahuas in purses like that even in grocery stores lol. I don't think the Chihuahuas like it though because they seem to be pretty sad when I see them.

Yea right when I had my shih tzu mix she would try to attack any adult stranger she sees. We had to lock her up whenever we had company because of that. <_< The only company she didn't mind was kids, she would never harm them but if you weren't one, don't you care come near her lol. In short all small dogs are not useless cowards especially terriers.

That was just an example and I didn't say it was their primary purpose. A dog needs to be trained and disciplined. If you let them do what they want and however they please, they will regard you as inferior and look at themselves as the boss of you. And yes you can still love your dog, but as they are animals they still need to be trained, not spoiled.

So if you get a hunting dog and basically spoil him, you deprive him of it's primary purpose so to speak ie. to hunt. What's the point of getting a hunter dog then? You'd be better off with a cat instead

That's pretty much your own fault. You didn't train your dog properly.

Amen... small dogs just eat and drops **** after a while, and they can't do a thing for you if you need them to do something in a distress situation or something, so NO to small dogs on this side.

@Khaled: its a Neapolitan/Hercules mastiff or something like that ...
I'll get one of those if I get the chance someday lol.
