I loved the artstyle in the new PoP. Very fresh look and very beautiful, so, I want them to stick with the illustrative look. Also, I want the continuity not to be messed up so as long as they stick with this story and characters they should keep this style. Also, I don't want any CGI cutscenes like some have mentioned. Keep the cutscenes the way they are. With graphics this good we don't need CGI, plus keeping everything in-engine keeps with the continuity I was talking about.

I liked the illustrative art direction in the game, and I hope they stick with it. If not on the next PoP, then experiment with other games using it. It's beautiful Smile

Why do you vote "Yes."...Oh come on -_-
Realistic and dark for the next game!
All of my friends instantly lost the interest in PoP after seeing those cartoon graphics and the clown prince.

I loved the new illustrative art direction. It helps with the fantasy story feel of the game.
Its nice to see some colour back in games Smile

I don't get how people can write off the new Prince as "cartoony".

There's a big difference between this:

And this:

I voted against the cell-shading, illustrative style or whatever because as I said before I hated how the characters looked like with those damn black outlines. Indifferent

The Prince looks cool with his "Persian carpet-like" clothes and red-blue scarf. It's original yet a little traditional, and makes agreat homage to the original Prince. So in my opinion he looks better than the Prince in SoT and T2T, but not as great as in WW or in PoP3D.

He's not cartoony and I really don't care about the black outlines (though in lower resolutions the outlines are a little thicker, that could be disturbing).

Keep the look and general aesthetic. It's excellent as it is. The only thing I'd suggest is to develop and advance and in some instances create new environments. For example, although the world is distinctive in terms of one area is outdoors, another is machine-based and another is tower/palace based, there is not much difference in each of those areas. For example, outdoors is generally just outdoors, rather than having one jungle area, one desert area, one mountainous area....just examples, but I think more variation would be beneficial. Also, working with the machine-based area and the industrial theme, I'd love to see a kind of circus level, with some tight-rope walking etc. Just a suggestion but I think, given the general aesthetic, a circus level would be amazing.

I have nothing againt this cell shading, but if they wanna keep it, they must add some blood and more mature visual elements, like corpses, the "corrupted" places should be darker, should be ****ing horrible and decay hahaha, they must work a lot in enemies design because any of the enemies this game got is really a memorable rival because of his appearance of combat style. So, they got a lot of work to do if the game sells well (I really hope it dont) but yeah, I think keeping this cell shading is a good idea. Still, if they opted for photoreallistic graphics it would be awesome

We already had emo Prince, was lowest rated game of the trilogy.

If so, FMV is one of the main tools for telling the story...and taking a little break from the game as well.
I rather watch a nice and long sekci fmv, then jaggy game cutscenes.

I'd rather not. Games like MGS4 have pretty much mastered the quality of full CG cutscenes, so if MGS4 can do it, then certainly Prince of Persia can...

I would like to see the next game style first before making any conclusions.

Illustrative, Realistic or something in between doesn't really matter right now. It's secondary what graphic style they choose since I don't make a clue of what they wanna do for the next title.

But please... No Anime/Manga style for Prince of Persia! Please...

The one thing they did right with this game is the art. It does look real good, and, hell, most of the reviews on this game seem to be only be rating the game on this aspect, so ... they must've done something right.

I would like it if the look of the game were the same in the next installment.

I honestly no longer like games with really 'realistic' graphics because, to me at least, they make games look less unique and some things look kind of silly the more realistic the graphics get. For instance, nonhuman monsters always look wrong to me in games with really realistic graphics as do any really out there, impossible, attacks and magical effects. That and I tend to find flaws more noticeable when graphics get really realistic.

Truth be told, I hope that this game inspires more game designers to try and make games with stylized graphics rather than super realistic ones.
