Everyone loves watching movies. It's a fact... theres no escaping it. And with new ones being released every week, I think a thread like this is in order, right
It's simple just rate the last film you saw. Be it in cinema, dvd, or on tv. Give us your views* *and a picture if you like. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Axe_Waylander, |

Well, I am a movie addict. I see like at least 2 movies each weekend. haha but i love every movie i see.
Just today, i saw Tristan and Isolde. It was a very good movie. The romance..well it didnt show too much..but you really felt the connection. Its basically about a Guy, a warrior, that falls in love with the princess of his enemy, without knowing it. but then there was a contest where he wins her in his kings name without knowing its her. so its about how they love each other..but they cannot be with each other It had good romance, and good fight scenes, i highly reccomend it |

Sounds interesting. I will have to check it out
I watched Memoirs Of A Geisha this morning. And as some of you may have noticed I have been anticipating this movies release (which was today in UK). Review of 'Memoirs Of A Geisha' The film is based on the book by the same name written by Arthur Golden. The plot revolves around a poor servant girl (Zhang Ziyi - House Of Flying Daggers) becoming the most famous Geisha 'Sayuri' in Japan. Helping her along the way and taking her under her wing is the famous Geisha 'Mameha' (Michelle Yeoh - Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon). Needless to say the film is an emotional drama and a bit out of the norm from Zhang Ziyi's usual martial arts genre. The soundtrack is superb and composed by a collaberation of the legendary multiple-Oscar nominated composer John Williams who is also joined by Yo-Yo Ma, one of the leading cellists in the world, and violinist Itzhak Perlman. Overall the film is solid throughout. With some of the visuals in the film (like the cherry blossom tree scene) utterly beautiful. If your after a few entrails or heads being kicked in... you may want to stay clear of this one. -Shan |

oh, yeah? i thought it's another adultry movie. i saw peter jackson's kingkong twice. i think i am the only one crazy about this movie. it's not an adultry movie about an ape and a female human. lol i hate every human in that movie, except few. waiting to see narnia, i am reading the book right now. |

There was also a great tv series on the lion the witch and the wardrobe too. Although I used to think it was great as a kid and havn't seen it since then... maybe if I saw it now
I thought King Kong was a good film but opposite to gorilla I liked the humans and hated the ape. I thought the human and 50 times bigger beast relationship was rather ridiculous really. However given the plot Jackson had to work with he did a great job of it. The acting was superb especially Jack Black. Naomi Watts looked gorgeous and lit up the screen in most scenes. To sum up, worth a watch... but I'd recommend a trip to the fantasy land called Narnia instead. |

Well in two weeks now, I've been to the movies twice, seen King Kong and Narnia as well.
Seems like these are the movies everyone are watching these days! My opinion of these two movies are that they are both very good and definitely worth seeing, I sure enjoyed both of them. So if you're thinking of seeing either of them, but didn't really decide whether to do it or not, I say go for it! |

I suppose if you havn't seen any new films you could recommend some of your all time favorites (but give a review of it).
Review of Cry_Wolf (released 13th Jan 06 in UK) First off the film is one of a horror/thriller genre, however don't get confused that this is a mindless killer romp fest. The plot is very well written and will keep you guessing right till the very end. 'Nobody believes a liar - even when they are telling the truth' is the tagline for the movie and matches the film 100%. Owen Matthews (Julian Morris) arrives at Westlake Prep - where a young woman has recently been found murdered in the dark woods near the boarding school's campus. He quickly becomes friends with the official 'liar/prankster' clique of the school, including Dodger (Lindy Booth of Dawn of the Dead and Wrong Turn), quick-talking, short-tempered Tom (Jared Padalecki of the new television series Supernatural) and 5 others. Owen suggests making a online rumour that a serial killer named "The Wolf" committed the recent murder of the girl and he is planning to strike again. The victims? They think it would be funny to name themselves and even describe how The Wolf would get them... Owen soon regrets sending their falsified story into cyberspace as soon the described "victims" start to dissapear. Owen, Dodger and Tom are no longer able to determine where the lies end and the truth begins but will anyone believe a pack of known liars... The relatively unknown cast do a great job. Watch it! |

And that, children, is how disaster movies were invented. The original movie was released in 1935 (or 1939, me forgets) with amazingly bad graphics and pretty much the same storyline. Besides, this isn't 'A Streetcar named Desire'... So, what did everyone expect? King Kong climbing atop the Empire State and reading out a copy of 'To Kill a Mockingbird'? |

i had a friend who doesn't like disaster films
ya to kill a mockingbird!! @vlad that's what i'm saying KISUKE IS BEAUTIFUL |
