to come up with a completely new story while staying true to the source material... I love the idea. hope it turns out well, the trailer is kickass.

I am talking about the trailer. She is holding the sword that forces Dastan to rewind time. There was also an ET interview with footage showing what probably happens after he rewinds time - Gemma waves about that same sword at him.

While the similarity to the SOT game is in the baths where again Farah lures the prince with a kiss (and probably more) and uses that to get rid of the pronce and handle the dagger herself

As Mechner said, the situation Farah and Tamina are in are quite similar

Am I just not watching the trailer that closely? I don't see Tamina try to stab Dastan at all during the trailer. Can someone point out the time? I'm watching all the rewind sequences carefully and I dun see it.

There seems to be several converging enemies in this movie all gunning for the dagger, versus just Kaileena and just the Vizier with the Prince's head in their sights. I hope it doesn't end up too scattered like Spider-man 3 with so many enemies...

Have you seen the ign rewind interview with Mechner? That would show you the moment

Watch the rewind scene of the trailer closely....it is here tamina... she almost pierced that sword through his head...

The trailer is awesome.Now I'm hyped about this.And may looks so far away right now.

The trailer does look good, only if you can come out from the frame of mind you've created for THE movie. Sands of time was supposed to be revolving around Prince & Farah, how Sharaman attacked Maharajah in India on his way to As'ad , how prince learned all the stuff and things like that. I was really hoping a movie based on this so that we can have another 2 parts of the movie based on same WW and T2T games.

But looks like I'll have to come out from my frame of mine and accept that the trailor does look good. But i still wonder how they're going to make WW and T2T movie, and wat was the need of deprieving the prince of his royal blue-white dress and cladding in WW war-leather?

@Kam: Oh the very first rewind scene! I kept looking at the kiss one, thinking she was shanking him. Plus I hadn't seen that one of her waving the sword around so I didn't make the connection that the sword about to go into Dastan's face was hers. All cleared up now. Very cool.

@prince_pk: It looks like they're combining elements from all the games to make the movies. Def saw the daggertail flailing about, plus Dastan and Tamina are on a journey to get rid of the dagger a la Warrior Within. So if there's a movie sequel/trilogy, it will probably have to be completely different branching than the video games did. They could steal elements from Two Thrones for Dastan to protect Babylon, but I suspect there wouldn't be enough fodder to make a full-length feature.

Would certainly be amusing if the video game of the movie of the video game were better than the original source game.

yeah it's all clear now who wants to bet she'll shoot him in the a** just like in the game ? or at least hurt him a bit with some kind of weapon

......just wait... we will see him in the sot outfit. BTW the dress he is wearing when he is with Tamina closely resembles the SOT attire.

^One of Tamina's outfits reminds me more of Elika's. there is a new video section in the official site and there few images of Tamina flash and she really reminds me of elika

I font think we will have a WW or TTT movies. We have one movie based on the whole trilogy. But WW and TTT were a lot more different then the original and I think while we have some elements from those games - the next movies will be created in the SOT spirit. I doubt we will see a violent blood-thirsty prince.
