Well, I was thinking about paying a commision and wanted to ask:
We all got really close to the Prince of Persia regarding SoT til The Two Thrones. In each game he represented a different aspect of old Persian culture.If we think about Ancient or Medival Persia we clearly associate with the Prince. But now, I kinda wonder if other fictional characters represent or characterize Persians you can associate with. For example, Satrapi of 'Persepolis'  I associate with her the DDR-like suppresion of Iran through the clerics. So, you know some other characters which you associate with Persia? As far as I know, 1001 Nights is a Persian originated, but Aladdin in the story is Arab...
The Chinese do have a similar story however, but he's NOT called Aladdin... i just read it not too long ago... it says he was kid in china... now if that means he moved from arabia to china as a child... it doesn't say... but i know what i read. although, it was most likely written by an arab or persian since all of the elements point to middle eastern settings. i'd most likely say it takes place in some far western region closer to middle eastern influence than what we actually know as asian china. now if you wanna mention a favorable persian... how about sinbad the sailor! actually, he had really bad luck mixed with really good luck. so i kinda got mixed feelings about the guy. lol...
