You all seem to have a good imagination and high creativity, maybe you got a nice dream to share too.
Tell us your favourite dream (no naughty daydreams! "My eyes are closed. I'm lying on the terrace, a blanket under my back. I can feel the sun on my face. Some weight is pushing on my belly wandering upside to my chest. I open my eyes. I see the smiling face of my child, happily babbling and laughing away. Its slobber hits my face but I don't care. I laugh along. The world couldn't be better, I doze off. I wake up, no sun on my face - no weight on my chest. I lean up and look around - where's my child? My heart is under an icy grip, it clears itself from it and starts beating like mad. I stand up and look around again, no child. The blood's rushing through my veins, so I can almost hear it. I start running, first around the house then through the garden, my eyes scanning every corner and every bush, my mouth crying out my child's name. And still no sign - panic strikes me, fear beyond belief is shaking my mind. I speed off around the house again and there, back on the terrace my child is sitting on the blanket, playing with a toy. It looks up and its face starts reflecting the fear on mine. But that fear vanishes like a raindrop in the desert, relief replacing all of it. Tears fill my eyes and I smile, so does the child. The sun breaks through the clouds again and I wake up. Now I do know Fear & Sorrow but so I do know Relief & Joy." I have no kids (or none of which I know). Go ahead, tell us your dreams! |

Everyone dreams. That's proven with tests. It's just that not everyone reminds them. I sometimes have real weird dreams. I'll see if I can recall some nice ones

wow wolfgang I liked how you described that, it was like reading a story.
Well the only nice dream I can remember right now was me playing football with my old friends and it was sunny and everyone was just messing around having fun without any worries. The ultimate sign of maturity is knowing just how immature you really are |

Well it looks like I don't have anything to contribute in that case No seriously I have pretty vague dreams that I can hardly remember by morning. Some I do remember were about me being nameless (Jet Li in 'Hero') when that film first released. |

Dreams are pretty strange anyway. Sometimes they are everyday matter, sometimes they mix up what you experienced or saw (like a movie) and sometimes they are totally different and you wonder where that stuff came from. I wonder what future neurology might tell us about our dreams.
Anyone ever dreamed of flying? |
||||
|
|
|
Yeah I had a dream about flying just once. The thing about dreams is sometimes they feel so real.
I had this weird dream recently, I was looking after my babysister when I fell asleep. Its like the bed split in half and the sheet was dragging me through the gap and I was completely paralysed from the waist down and my waist up just felt like it was stuck to the bed. It was scary because I tried to call for help but hardly any sound came out. And I could feel something moving around underneath my back and a misty hand trying to grab my sister but I was holding onto her. It was so accurate and weird, because in the dream I could feel everything. I just woke up kind of freaked out. The ultimate sign of maturity is knowing just how immature you really are |

One weird dream that I had was..... weird
I can only remember the middle of it though, I'm no good at making things sound good so I'll tel it how I remember it First part I can remember is we're walkin through a forest/jungle piece of land (me, and some other people who I think would be my companions on the journey or something). Then someone picks up a weird rock thingy, and we continue walking. Soon some native tribe people come running towards us waving spears and shooting arrows. So we run away and see a giant shadow shaped like a dragon.. Thats all I can remember. Sound a little made up if you ask me, but hey. |

Erm... I had to rescue someone I barely knew from some kind of worm hole on a hoverbike and then we all had dinner in an oversized badger den
Seriously... my dreams are so obscure I either don't remember them or they're so weird they're hard to forget |

I heard that when you can remember your dreams part of you is still awake, but when you actually dream you cant remember them. I dont actually understand that or know if its true but for some reason I thought it made sense when someone told it to me.

Hmm.. I once woke up.. and then fell back asleep. And in that kind of periods, I almost ALWAYS dream. So once, I had this weird thing.. I was dreaming I was half-awake and the phone kept ringing. Except, I couldn't reach it, I couldn't get near it. It kept on ringing and ringing and suddenly I awoke finding that the phone did ring.
Another thing, I was lying in bed and I heard my brother talking to my mother for like 5 minutes. Then I woke up and realised my mother already left. It's real weird. ----- Less is more! |

@Amerie :
here are some facts about dreaming: 1/2=reallity 1/2=fantasy = (1/4=total fantasy 1/4=what you desire) -people that are blind don't dream in image's, but they use sound and taste. -when people lost their sight when they where young, the first period after losing their sight, they dream in image's but they start to fade after time passed... tips to remember your dream: -don't wake up to fast, stay down, and think about what you've been dreaming. -don't look into the light after you woke up, the light makes your boddy active, and then you forget the most of your dream. the experiences you have in your dream, are the things you thought of / experienced the most recent.(the reality part) hope i helped you out greets Daeron __________________________ ~if you think emo's should be killed, by all means... kill me~ ~panic, chaos, disaster.. my work is done here~ |

Aye, as a child I once had a similar dream. I was walking along my mother in the old mineworker quarter my grandma lived, old sandstone houses with pretty steep rooves. It was night and suddenly I lost track of my mother.
Looking for her I thought to hear her voice calling from one of the houses. I ran up the stairs of it opened the heavy wooden door and stepped in. Inside there were flames all over the place and suddenly an old lady appeared right behind me. She laughed viciously and pushed me into the fire.(yeah a witch!) I fell and fell and suddenly I was high in the sky still falling, clouds far below me. When I broke through the clouds I could see our village down below and I was still falling - right down to our very house! I crushed through the roof then through the loft right down into my bed. Then I woke up. The first thing I did was turning the light on and checking for a big hole in the ceiling. I bet my granny told me Hansel & Gretel some nights before that dream |

One dream i cannot forget:
I was woke up (in the dream) and i was not me, i was alot taller, hairrier and definatly alot more muscular. I got up and looked down at myself. i was a werewolf. I went to school and when i arrived no one seemed to notice. Then someone had the nerve to P*** me off(Cant remember what they did). Then i start going around killing everyone: Teachers, kids alike. I killed everyone thats ever said or done anything to cause me pain, then i killed those that comforted me and those that had i never even talked to, then those who had been family. I awoke after that. I was happy and sad at the same time. I like the fact that i was killing the one i despised, But i despised myself for killing my family in friends in the dream. I was sitting up in bed for like 10 minutes before i decided to walk around and try to shake it off. I have dreams where i am a werewolf alot, but this is the most descriptive one i really can give, usually i wake up and forget it in moments. *I Defy Rational thought* |

@Rob's post: He forgot to mention that homoerotic scenes ensued, but I suppose he couldn't say that since the rules have been outlined about 'naughty daydreams'
I don't remember any specific dreams! I'm always two or three people in my dream. Usually, the dream I get most nowadays is that I got to overseas countries (specifically Pakistan |

So last year, I had a huge crush on my studly professor. I had a dream that we were flirting like crazy...nothing beyond flirting, but it was such witty banter and so sexy that I was having a great time. Then he said "I don't usually do this, but would you meet me in my office tomorrow at four?" I was having dirty thoughts by this time but my rational side kicked in as I walked home. I said to myself "He's married and besides, he's way out of your league. This is ridiculous, you must be dreaming. Wake up before this goes any further, you'll only wake up feeling depressed and disappointed." Then I woke up, lol. Le sigh. That's the only time I can think of where I knew I was dreaming as I was dreaming, if that makes sense.
|
|||
|
It does make sense, it's called clear dreaming which happens very rarely. The cool part starts when you don't wake up but actively alter your dream, this is called lucid dreaming.
