But it is a fact that the PoP games were fantasy games since the first game.

So:

SoT - PoP Game
WW - No PoP Game
T2T - partitially pop game
PoP 2008 - PoP Game

You want a game like WW. But Warrior Within wasn't a real PoP. I don't say it was bad. I like WW, but it was no PoP game.

You can't say it is no pop game because the moves are unbelievable. Or because you think the graphics don't fit. A PoP game is a game with an "arabian nights" story. The other thhings are just things which are based on the story.

So they used a morefantasy like graphic style in the pop because it fits to the story.

This style would also fit to SoT and T2T. But it wouldn't fit to WW.

100% agreed! Have said this many time and I will say it again. Warrior Within was a Good Game but It wasn't a Good POP Game. There is a lot of depth in this sentence only FEW people can understand this.

The Artistic Direction is japanese anime or whatever, the important thing is that its close to Arabain Nights feel.

You let me confused...
You said that a Anime look gives a Arabian feeling? Did you said that?

Well, I think that can happen but only if it is well performed, otherwise a more realistic and well based envionrement is much better to capture a good Persian feeling (you can keep the "illustrative" style, but the anime/japanese look is dispensable). Don't you think tat way?

I don't think that it is an anime. Its an illustrative art-style. Water-Colors Painting. And its close to that Feel. The previous SOT triology had a realisitc feel. Lets taste the New feel now. Big Grin A different one. Big Grin

hey guys!!!!

the game is looking really great at the minute.

the only problem i see happening is the fact that one enemy aspect means that we may be going through a large lengthy puzzle of platforms without doing anyhthing else... and all this would be in search of a boss. i hope i'm wrong and there will be more to do than simply puzzling your way to a boss.

for this reason, i feel the one enemy aspect may fail in the long run! having more enemies to fight in the middle of a puzzle so that in breaks the platforming up a bit would be brilliant and then fighting a sole boss.

i do hope the development team prove me wrong but it appears great for the moment!!!

*waves at kesha*

I dunno, I've been replaying PoP:Sands of Time this past week and I gotta say the hoards of enemies are really cramping my style. I feel like I have to "get through" them more than "oh boy! A battle to spice things up!" ...but the combat definitely isn't working in SoT's favor so that might not be the best comparison.

I wouldn't mind a little cat-and-mouse with this one-on-one enemy system, the thrill of chasing the enemy down to show 'em who's boss.

I agree with this wholeheartedly.

If we put the Prince up against 10 extremely weak enemies, that's not challenging, that's not really exciting, that's just a nuisance.

I mean, one attack can kill them, so I'm just working my way through them systematically counting up to number ten. That's no fun, really.

I'd rather face one titanic boss that will put me on the edge of my seat rather than wave after wave after endless wave of generic minions that I can systematically massacre without even paying attention.

I know I've told this story quite a few times in the Creed forums, but I don't think I've mentioned it in here, and now's a good example.

When Creed came out, I bought it and played all night long, all the next day, and all the night after that. Eventually, sleep got the better of me, and I fell asleep during a large fight. I can't remember how long I was out, probably just a few minutes, but I woke up and the first thing I saw was bodies everywhere! I had gotten so used to the counter attack that I was fighting them in my sleep, and winning.

Yeah, generic minion after generic minion, I don't think requires a lot of attention. But on the other hand, I doubt I could fight a Persia monster in my sleep, and actually come out alive.

I see what he's saying though, a "mini-boss" of sorts, maybe one or two monsters to get you roughed up for the big boss, and I can agree with it. Just as long as they're still challenging and creative.

i just noticed on IGN that it says Elika is an Ahura (demi-god, divine being doing ahura mazdas(gods) work against ahriman) so she's basically immortal unless she sacrifices herself or something in the story to help the prince. she couldnt possible be in the way.

i need to ask a question? why did u change prince of persia 3 into two thrones because i thought the warrior within prince was much more of an in deep and dark character and could have bought more intensity into the game ...i played PoPTT3 and i was quite disappointed that i didnt live up to expectation and it had nothing to do with the prince of persia 3 video i saw on youtube.

Hey, I heard about this earlier in the week, but I wasn't sure if it was true. On the new Episode of Qore which is a digital magazine on PS3/PSN, they say they will have something on Prince of Persia. I can't really buy it, but I was wondering if anything new would be on it? Also, if anyone gets it, if you could maybe tell us about what it has on it (I'm not sure if this type of request is frowned upon or not, sorry)?

The link to PoP being on Qore is here.

Edit: Hey guys I found the videos on youtube I was talking about. Here's two videos from Qore that someone posted on Youtube.

First Video

Second Video

PoP stuff starts up at between 5 and 6 minutes in the first video and goes through about 4 and half minutes in the second video. There is no new footage, just video, concept art, and screens we've seen. There are interviews with Ben Mattes and Dave Wilkinson, but not anything we haven't heard before really. I figured some of you might want to check it out anyway, so, I figured I'd post it.

I watched the videos and i alike wtf

Ben mates "leadership in the action adventure genre"

wtf ?

Ben mattes "King of action adventure"

Sorry but there are other games which frankly kick prince of persi's *** both in terms of sale and in terms of gameplay and they have to imporve the game alot to reach their so called fantasy which is "leadership" in the genre

Classic ben mattes,

Hypes up the game alot and then we get the two thrones >.<

I'm absolutly against the idea that UbiMont just call this game POP to sell more, because a lot of fans are saying that this game sucks because it is taking a very different from SOTT, so if they call the game other name they would not have this problem.
UbiMont are triyng to make a game for a new generation of players, so if they didn't playied the game this will give them any advantage.
Third, UbiMont gained a lot of respect from players with AC so i think that they don't need this kind of strategies.
The game has been thinking from the begining to be a POP game.
I think that if has changed the name of the game maybe it could be more sucsesfull

A game don't need to be groundbreaking to be a great one. The fact is that AC has great grafics and a great gameplay

About AC. It was a bit overhyped game in my view. No Doubt It has amazing Graphics I agree with Ruialves. Gameplay was great as well. However, it wasn't what you call a HOT Game. It was quite Cold Game because other important ingredients were missing in that game.

About bhadva sigs, Apart from its sarcasitcally funny. But It can be said perfectly well for warrior within IMO.
