This is what I think about this game;

Nice graphics, but not a single thing (apart from the prince's movement) about this game is prince of persia related. The fighting system is horrible, with the 1-on-1 style that is completely different then how the prince fights, and SHOULD fight. The 'magic' the girl uses to help the prince is idiotic, and I can't stand the fact he can never fall to his death. If you fall off a cliff, you die. She should have been given only a certain amount of times she could save him, if anything, but she always saves him anyway. Also, collecting those little lights to procede through the game? seriously? must have taken years to think of such a creative plan.

This new fighting style and 'light collecting' thing makes the once bad-*** prince look like a pansy. I can't believe he can't move around and fight people, like he used to do. Run off of walls, and vault over people and hit them/trip them or whatever. Instead, he jumps 50 feet in the air and hits them. lets try to hold back on the whole anime thing, not everyone likes it. Now, i can understand why the sands of time were ditched, 3 games based apon the sand is enough (even though that was one of the best things about the other Prince of Persia games). But that doesn't mean this game must be 100% completely different!

This game doesn't deserve the Prince of persia name. If anyone ever decides to make another game like this or some sort of crappy sequel, please don't get my, and many other people's hopes up by giving it the "the prince of persia" name.

the 4 costumes thing get me every time

i replayed sot last nght and it still has its charm, the ending is still as great and i think this brings me to suggestions for the next game.

UBI i suggest you follow the sot outline. Great in game narrative style story. nice persian surroundings, in my oppinion azad was the nicest place in pop history. The only problem i didt like about sot was the repetitive action due to lack of moves, and farahs AI.

If you ask me i would love to see a redo of pop on next gen with the upgrades. This probably wont happen for a long time so i suggest you follow this model.

i like the flow of the platforming and the cel shading of the new one, the combat is quite flat and needs more mind blowing visuals, the last prince did flips and wall runs in combat, id like to see that come back.speakinf od wall runds i miss the vertica wall run too .The sequal needs more puzzels and less retarted magic plates. Difficulty has to be raised, i suggest you make elika like sand, she has a limited use and needs to be recharged hance she cant save yu all the time and you have to call on her to save you. plus seeing that close up of their hands when the prince is saved is well... repetitive. oh and i hope the endign of the game suggest a more likable prince for a sequal, this one is not very likable so i hope you really develop the prince socially. Can we also see some petty enemies show up that we can fight in bulk. yes i understand the one on one but i miss having to fight a bunch of baddies at once. Lets try to make the combat a bit harder UBI, maybe some bosses that require completely new strategies to defeat or something. Considering that farah the donkey is dead , can the prince get a camel for the next one and he uses it to get across the fricking desert? and it would be nice to see some normal cities and things like that, maybe be able to interact with normal people. They should go to babalyon and find it as the last light refuge and it s a big interactive city that is assassins creed worthy.

Agreed. I believe it's not very resonable to compare two games created in such different contexts and Time background - it's been nine years ever since Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time - what was thought to be better for the game back then, sure isn't now, nor should it be anyway.

I'm kind of new here - I only registered last Christmas - but new only to the Forum, I've been playing Prince Of Persia for many, many years now.
I've been wandering around and I've been reading some topics, some of wich raised the same (yet unanswered) question - where are the old Sites?
I am sorry if this is sort of a repetitive/redundant matter in this topic - it would be impossible for me to read more than one hundred pages, as you may understand - although I believe it's a very significant matter, since I'm sure there are many people/fans out here without a next generation console, like me, and who only play (or only have played) the Sands Of Time saga.

Could any of you guys care to elaborate a bit on this, please?

FINALLY got around to playing the new PoP. i gotta say that while it's a radical departure from the SoT trilogy (as expected) i still really enjoyed the game.

the visuals are great, the controls are spot-on, and the fighting system is great in it's own right...although i can imagine why ppl don't prefer the new system over the free-flow combat that was available in the Sands trilogy.

not to mention that the ending of the game is the biggest "WTF" moment i've ever seen...and i totally mean it in a good way; very anticlimactic. so i had just finished the game, no hints/tips, etc. by the time i finished the game i was like: "this can't be right...HOW COULD IT END LIKE THIS!?!"

i even wound up going so far as to check an online faq to see if i did anything wrong (e.g. got a bad ending instead of a good ending =P ).

that said, i'm curious what the situation is regarding the new PoP: has ubisoft already confirmed that this'll be part of a new trilogy?

it would be so freakin awesome if a sequel was announced at E3.

I've seen one of those new trailers that come directly from E3, from a new game called The Last Guardian. It is being made by the awesome devs back at Team ICO.

When I've seen the TRAILER I was really amazed. The feelings it brings to the viewer it's awesome and really deep.

But the imediate thing I tought of was POP, I just imagined that little kid as the Prince and the whole set/envionrement as a new Prince of Persia game. Just try that yourselves, wouldn't it be great?

The last guardian is resembling alot like Neverending story.Which is great.Too bad it's a ps3 exclusive.

the latest installment of Prince of Persia sucks big donkey ****..what's w the whole RPG style running around n looking for "light seeds"...that's ****ing gay..i have a life which is why i don't play RPG's..too much time is spent running and searching..not enough killing...borring..pickin my nose would be more fun and much more productive...go back to the old style where you kill any enemy n get the power source you need..oh n what's w the whole u get to fight an enemy, not a boss, every 20 mins...borring..not enough lackies to kill..the collision detection/mapping sux..i'm using the power where you can run along walls after activating a plate and as i'm running it looks, to me a person w 20/20 vision and an 40" HDTV, as if i still have 2 to 3 ft before i need to dodge an obstacle but NOOOO my ****ing guy runs head first into it...what happened to extra 3ft i had..do the obstacles have invisible extensions...gay gay gay...just terrible..graphics are great..new fighting style is great..every thing else just straight up sucks..i've played evry title for xbox n i was about to buy the one for my PSP till i played this..what a let down..get your **** together UBI as i'm sure you lost a lot of fans w this one...****ing lame..i just got this **** from gamefly on monday, it's wed. n i'm sending it back tom. w/out finishing it...way too long, borring and frustrating for me

I'm a late gamer and I just finished the game yesterday... I must say, dang game looking pretty awesome and the experience is out of this world... I cant wait for the sequel, they must release it sooner cause I'm already itching for one after finishing the first one... BTW, would that "Minjar" thing be of any significance in the game? That's all...
