I remember when chatting to Elika she mentioned something about Fertile Grounds outside of the city; so I'm guessing they'll utilise them. I think after a bitter argument where Elika rips the Prince apart verbally for destroying everything she had, and he retorts along the lines of 'no-one cared, not even Ormazd would save his own city, shouldn't have to die for someone elses cause, etc', then they may try and find a way to access Ormazd and get him to do his own dirty work.
On retrospect, everything the Prince said led up to that final event, and I think through his time with Elika he learnt that having gold and carpets doesn't really amount to much. He'll be a changed man, but hopefully not *too* brooding and complex. I don't know how corrupted he would be, I was under the impression he made no deal, and just acted out of a big 'screw you all' to the Gods. Though, if darkness is chasing him because it believe it is owed something, that'd give you incentive to run a little faster. =P **Queen of Obsessions, Gaming Geek, Comic Nerd and Pin-up Fanatic** |

Personally I don't want to see the prince become corrupted or "unleash his dark side". It's been done to death already. I just want to see how he manages to keep himself alive from Elika's impending wrath (after she snaps out of her zombified state, of course

Okay first off, the end ruined the whole game for me. Everything you just worked for is gone. Everything- makes me not even want to play it again now. I thought the Prince was cool and I really liked his character... not now. I feel horrible about Elika- she knew what she was doing guys- she knew her fate. There is no way to defend this ending- yes things were failing- but that did not mean Ahriman was going to be out the next day it would have taken most likely 100-1000 years. ALSO if there ARE grounds other places would not not think that still having the ones you healed + Tree of Life + new grounds would have made the prison stronger?
I think this whole ending went about it the wrong way- if things were going to fail... let them fail have them escape and keep trying. Don't let us achieve what we set out to do and then murder it before our eyes. All those hours "I" spent were in the end worthless and meaningless. True we do not know the Princes intent or true mind set- because the voices were talking about him getting back his destiny and that she had poisoned him with the light. So we don't know who he truly is BUT if he is someone totally different then I hate the fact you gave us the run around that he was a good person at least and I'd hate to think what Elika has to do to free herself now if he indeed is a dark prince(????) Also why would Elika even bother with him now? I know I would not. I'd hate him for what he did. Elika died TWICE (that we know of) because of THIS... come on when will it end? How many people or how many times will Elika die before someone gets this right? It's like Elika is cursed now she keeps falling into this fate- that probably what happened to her mother too (i can't remember if they mentioned why she died). Man I'd wanna stay dead too- stop dealing with the same stuff over and over. Man she died with honor, and great a noble sacrifice and for what? ....To have it all ripped up. I'm still no fan of this ending- and don't really look forward to the next one because this one became such a disappointment. I was really loving this game. I STILL say it should have had to endings. Since the developers loved saying you have free movement in this game and can pick a way to play it- so should they have done that with the ending. Trust me they could have done to very different endings and still could have pulled off a solid second game because all they had to do is build in a 5 min opening scene that would have tied up the ends and started the new game. Character/Ending Ideas: *Elika's powers should have pasted to the Prince (if he's to be a good Prince) *The Prince should have been Ormaz or at least something of that nature *This story should have had a proper ending not a "to be continued" it was to well done for something that cheap. *More backstory- but oh well. I guess that is to much to ask *Don't destroy what you have built up. This game had so much potential and awe to it and yet it all slipped away.*sigh* |

I re-did the ending and am currently replaying the game. I noticed one thing in particular. "The visions are not from Ahriman." So, are they from Ormaz(SP?)? If so, is it possible that he led the Prince to the place (As mentioned by someone else earlier) BUT, he also knew that he would bring her back? Maybe he knew that simply purifying the Temple wouldn't hold Ahriman forever, and that he needed to escape, so that Elika and The Prince would go to the "Other Fertile Grounds" and seal him in a greater Tree of Life than what was at the Temple? Well, that's the only really note-worthy thing I have to offer, and it really isn't THAT noteworthy, as it's basically what someone else said except the ending is different. Ah well, yeah, that's it.

For me the ending matched the Prince's attitude of no-one should have to die for someone elses battle. Though Elika chose her path, I think the Prince saw it as a waste of someones life for a God who doesn't even care. That and he's ultimately pretty selfish and liked her a bit too much for his own good. =P
A good point about the visions though; who exactly was sending and why? Hrm. **Queen of Obsessions, Gaming Geek, Comic Nerd and Pin-up Fanatic** |

Elika said the visions were from the temple "protecting" itself. Not sure what that means.

Good job it did. Unless the Temple really isn't destroyed...? But that wouldn't make sense. Unless it gets rebuilt into a stronger Temple? Honestly, I really don't know.

I'm not sure a new temple is gonna help. It was Ormazd who trapped Ahriman in the tree of life to begin with, so unless we get him back, a temple ain't gonna do jack.

What if it's a temple made of fertile grounds?
Like, literally, the walls and floors are covered in them, and they keep 100 uhra (however you spell 'em) on standbye so the moment he breaks out, everyone just runs around activating them |

I read most of the posts, and i agree with some of the ideas and disagree with others.
First of all they should absolutely bring Elica back , she is a good companion, although i was alwayz waiting for her for 10 seconds when i had 2 turn a crank. Who knows , they should bring back Farah too, good donkeys are hard 2 find after all. i hope 2 god that they dont introduce another another version of this "corrupted prince" idea witch has been overused by WW and T2T. Besides, im not very sure that the prince even was corupted,he didnt make a deal with ahirman ,Elika menioned that the seeds give her power, amd we saw her give away all of her lightseeds 2 trap him.(MY 900 friggin lightseeds that i worked my arse off to get to, and she just gives them all away , what an ungratefull woman ). The prince only took them back. Anyway, back on the subject, Elika mentioned that there are other fertile ground outside the pallace. What if the palace was Airhman's prison cell, but he is stil in a big prison , and we can consider the mentioned outer-fertile grounds as the prison walls. I think they should bring ormazd into the mix too, because if i learned anythng from tv, movies and games , its that there is alwayz a Devil, Satan, Lucifer, demons , etc , but God never makes an aparence and the poor humans who try 2 fight he apocalypse have 2 do it themselves. Im tired of seeing everyone take everythng on faith, and doing everythng themselves when they can be helped by a higher power, and id like to see that higher power actually lift a finger in the next game (ormazd wake up dude...if it rains we assume youre actually taking a shower, if the wind blows , your actually drying your hair, how about doind something more concrete this time) Somethng else id like to see is a a lengthier game. Hmm, let me rephrase , a Propper lengtier game. The fact that u had to backtrack through the ares just to gather lightseeds is just a cheap way of making the experience a little bit longer ( and by litle bit i mean about 30% longer, even more if u actually decided to gather ALL of those evasive lightseeds). perhaps they should go back to the linear gameplay of SOT or TTT. I dont think i can ask for a more complex story in the next pop, mainly because everything has been already done, and besides, The coruption is an anagram of sands of time... ish.. Its basicaly the same thing. The normal story should suffice "bad guy out there, kill the bad guy's lackies, kill the big bad guy". Oh one more thing ive read alota posts about bring "back" Eliakas mother. Im not all for that idea, but if they do decide this , they should bring her back in form only, not in spirit ,big bad ahirman escaped in the end and crashed the temple, elika's mom was buried there, so i guess they could maybe bring her body back as a challenge for Elika's character to overcome. I dont wanna see " Oh im Elikas mom traped inside a corrupt body, must do bad stuff, must eat brain, no wait must do good stuff, help cure me , oh its the end of the game and we defeated ahirman, now i am resurected and can be Elikas mom again even though i died" Ok il stop here cuz this is already a long post |

The Prince getting Corrupted doesn't have to be Dark Prince style. It could be like... um... the Chimera Virus in Resistance (wow, HUGE leap there). The main character, Hale, is infected with a virus that allows him to regenerate his health bar, but is turning him into an alien. As the game progresses he also starts getting jittery and his eyes turn gold. I say the Prince's Corruption should start off really small, like it did with Elika's dad. So throughout the game the Prince tries to hide the Corruption from Elika. To do this, he pretends that the affected areas are wounds and bandages them, sort of like in SoT when the Prince would slowly change costume throughout the game. However, in keeping with the nonlinear nature of the first game, it could progress in real-time. So, if you stuff around finding Light Seeds or whatever, the Prince's corruption will advance. Maybe during fights it will cause the Prince to double over and groan. I don't know if the next game will include fertile grounds, but if it does, they could reduce the Prince's Corruption level.
Oh, and replaying the game, I am certain that the Prince has 'done the deal' with Ahriman. You see, in one of Elika's death flashbacks, you see her dad carrying a Light Seed, just like the Prince did. Something else that would be cool is Ahriman intermittently controlling the Prince to either force him to jump into some Corruption or to kill Elika. You could then play as Elika to knock him out and free him from Ahriman's control. I also stand by my Dark Seed upgrade idea. Say what you want, but I REALLY want to see a Corrupted Prince, because the Corrupted's designs were so awesome. Plus, an upgrade system would have really helped the game. I know! Since there are other fertile grounds outside the City of Light, they could be included as a side objective! While progressing along the story nets you Light Seeds, healing fertile grounds to create safe havens from Ahriman will provide the standard 45 light seeds, as well as battling the Prince's Corruption. Non-committal? Really? She said TONS of flirtatious stuff. |

I think the next game has to be the Prince finding Ormazd and if he has lost his sole then somehow getting that back>>>>>>
I also believe that the concubine ( the woman warrior) was channelling Ahrimads thoughts and he knew the prince was going to lose his sole because after telling the prince about how he loves the princess, she said something along the lines of "...and now I have your sole" call it far fetched bu.... hey. |

i really wanna see a more vicious prince in the next 1 i loved the prince from the ww and t2t, he just doesnt have that ruthlessness that he needs, like i love the cockyness but they should try and give hin that edge, for example look and dante from DMC he has that whole cocky thing going on but he also has that ruthless side to him.
oh and i want more history for the princes character because im not convinced he is a prince yet, because he says he is a thief and his family are dead, i thought that he would become the prince at the end but alas he never so he isnt a prince yet |

I just thought of this really good idea the other night. The game kicks off a few minutes after the Prince releases Ahriman, with Elika and the Prince camping out in the desert at night. Elika is a total zombie, and the Prince is wondering if he did the right thing. Elika suddenly snaps out of it and starts yelling at the Prince for destroying everything that they'd worked for. The Prince argues that Ormazd didn't care about her, and that she didn't deserve to die. Elika retorts that life isn't fair, and that sometimes people have to make sacrifices. Eventually Elika gets so angry she blasts the Prince with magic and leaves him alone.
Later that night, Ahriman contacts the Prince. He's come to collect on his soul. The Prince manages to finagle a deal - he follows Elika is exchange for keeping his soul a little longer. That way Ahriman can spy on Ormazd's only remaining follower. The Prince, however, seeks only to find Elika and seek her forgiveness. So, for a while in the game, the Prince is alone and trying to track down Elika. There is a new way that the Prince is saved from death, however. If he falls to his death, he will disappear into the ground like the Corrupted did in the game and pop out of a patch of Corruption at the nearest checkpoint, since Ahriman wants him alive. The same for combat - Ahriman will teleport him away to heal his wounds. This will also allow the enemy to heal, much like the first game. As the Prince starts to gain on Elika, he starts to be come visibly Corrupted, which forces him to change into outfits that cover more skin. Eventually, he arrives in Babylon, where Persian forces are gathering to repel Ahriman's forces. The Prince finds Elika, who is still ticked off. He manages to anger her even more when he tries to get her to escape with him. She yells at him to run away like he always does, and avoid responsibility. The Prince does so, but hears from Ahriman that his army will attack soon. The Prince returns in time to save Elika and rally the city's defenses against the army. ...Dunno how that'll involve platforming The New Prince of Persia Lightbringers Team [Cathy, Cristina, Bobby, Max, Harry] |

Got some good ideas there, though I don't know if Elika could run off; she's got absolutely nothing, has never left her city before and the only other person she knows in the world would be the Prince.

None of that was at all in Elika's character. She's not going to be angry. She's more the kind of girl who will get a bit angry but break down crying in the Prince's arm, and then the Prince will whisper that he's sorry, and then Elika will feel responsible and will want to save the Prince. |
