Before start writing, if the mods think this thread should be closed, go ahead, but i think this is something that ubisoft should do with POP.

As we all have seen, Ubisoft has released both games Assassin´s Creed, each of them with an action figure of Altair and Ezio. Now I ask, Ubisoft, why dont you make the same with Prince of Persia? This game has been known for sooo much more time and i really think that not releasing a special edition of it with an action figure at least isnt cool. It looks like ... like if AC was taking POP´s place.

Please, Ubi, release the next POP with a more atractive special edition (the same for everywhere, please, we are all the same.)

Who would like to have a little prince or elika in his/her room?? I´d really like it

a collectors addition should have lots of things with it, but i just havent understood the logic of dolls ( ) in it....

doesnt it cost abit to make the dolls ( ) (relitivity to other things?)

If any game I want has a limited or collectors edition I'd rather get it than a standard one.

A figurine of Elika/Prince bundled with the game would be neat although I guess for some people the price would be a factor.

Actually any merchandise would be cool other than the standard Bonus DVD/CD that often comes bundled.

i think POP fans deserve to be able to get something more that a simple DVD with some extras.

And this time, Ubi should be careful with the limited edition. We must remember that there are fans in more places than USA or UK, and to see a great limited edition for those places and then a simple one for the rest, for me at least, looks really bad.

I hope they dont make me make a vid again with the question of the last time.

well, SOT didnt have a remake for psp and wii. I dont know why, but some day ubi could remake those games

I'm all for T2T getting a remake someday...

No lol, I'm not suggesting they relaunch the games
They are merely ideas based off the older titles - giving Ubisoft ideas of what kinds of things they could include with future titles.

I've always wanted a 'Jade' figurine - but I guess she wasn't popular at the time

I've often wondered why only in recent years gaming merchandise has become popular in Europe, when for years Japan and the United States have entire collections of game related stuff on sale.

Most of the stuff I have came from Japan. It would be nice to see more in Europe.

maybe you see stuff in europe, but in spain ...huh! that would be a miracle. The only things i have seen in my city are from God of War, Final Fantasy or ... tomb raider! But no POP yet ... ¬¬ he is 20 years old, i think its time to get some figures ... ¬¬

I've myself wondered how this is managed, if my memory serves me well enough the collector's editon of T2T was only available to customers of the States although the game was developed by a Canadian Studio but the CE not made accessible there

POP merchandise is VERY rare if nonexistant in Europe unless it's bundled with a game or promoted by Ubisoft through competitions and what not.

I used to collect all things Final Fantasy, but then Square-Enix started to release too much, and found it impossible to keep up.

I ended up selling it all, and got different stuff in it's place.

I wouldve fully agreed with this thread if we were on 2003-2005 (I would've bought gladly some figurines of both SoT and WW), but right now, and with this PoPNG -even when the idea of the figurines and all that merchandise things is awesome- I dont feel any interest to have one of them
Still, it would be a nice detail for the rest of the fans

Uh... I'm not very fond of action figures, I mean, they can be cool to have by but... It destroy's the purpose of playing a game or having a specific experience, it kinda suits well with fanatism.

I don't know if I really want a model of a videogame (movie, book, whatever) character in my room, or a tshirt of my favourite game. For me there's one clear line between what's fun or what's "cool" in a game, and the moment these elements start "invading" my personal space in the form of lifeless objects I'll need to think if I'm actually learning something new with them or, if I just need to get a life.

For me their just marketing measures who give extra income to companies like Ubisoft or the sort. The point is that I'm not actually getting any profit from them.

So no... I don't like that idea

@André: You know what man? For the first time here, somebody managed to completely change my mind upon a subject; Hmmm... I take back what I said on my previous post, and agree with yours now

Meh, to me action figures are just like posters or frames on your wall for your favorite band or something (my brother has alot of those in his room). They're just there to show your love for something if a person is embarrassed or if they feel they need to "get a life" ( still don't understand what this meaning truly means lol) because they have it, then they should of never bought it in the first place. Personally, I would find it a bit strange, if I was at someone's house and they were giving a long explanation to me on what they learned new from their mario or sonic figure. I would love some figures in my room unless they're over 80$ then thanks but no thanks just give me a 15$ poster or t- shirt and I'll be fine. Unless if it's maybe 12 inches or over and very high in detail I can't see me spending alot on just a figure. I still think it's a cool idea though to at least give people the option to buy them if they want like capcom does.
