There are quite a few Eidos games showing up on the support website for UBISOFT. Just type the game title (thief, hitman, tomb raider, etc.) in the search box.

Check it out by using the ubi customer support help

It may just be because Ubi may have published editions of them , they've done deals with other publishers to re issue their games, or release them in certain markets.
I have a few myself, I have Microsoft's Age of Empires 1 Gold Edition for example, and if you look on the Ubi support site, you'll find it on there, along with Age of Mythology.
If you check the titles on the PC alone, you'll find quite a few games from other publishers that Ubi had deals with.

This is verbatim of what Shamrock said on Neogaf Shady

I'm going to go with BTO as they probably had Ubi publish some of their games somewhere at sometime.

Crystal Dynamics develop Tomb Raider
If Ubisoft buy Eidos, it won't make a difference will it?

Since the current project is so far along, the only thing it would probably affect is where the money comes from to fund it. After that though, depending on how the contract is written up, the direction (art, concept, etc.) could be in Ubi's hands for the final decision.

Actually, I don't think that will affect TR unless the developer is changed, too.

And if that happens (changing the dev) that would be bad, because CrystalD are just "finding" Tomb Raider and changing the dev again means that we will get a game that doesn't have anything to do with TR.

I don't know if I should get excited or upset from these news..

Don't get me wrong, ubi is one of the most amazing gaming corps, still, every company have it's stamp on each game it produces, and I fear if ubi took over edios' projects, they'll change them 180 and ruin them Roll Eyes

Heh, speaking of Eidos

So yeah, with recent cuts back in Feb. I don't think Eidos is looking for anyone just yet. Plus, TR is coming out. They will make money off of that Thumbs Up

I think if anything like this happened you'd see it on the front page of every news site on the Internet, rather than just on Ubisoft's support pages. If I remember correctly Ubisoft published those games in certain countries Wink

I find it hilarious that you constantly go on about the fact that Lara 'copies' the prince all the time
And now you want the developers of PoP to make TR?
Mega lolz.

lol, well man. POP team is an innovative one. Look they made AC, It was a game from the makers of Prince Of Persia Sands Of Time and AC was unique and not a carbon copy of SOT. Both Games are quite distinguishable in terms of gameplay moves, platforming etc. And now we have POP Next-Gen which is unique and innovative as well in every aspect, There is AC 2 as well in development which will be separate from POP Next-Gen. Smile

By looking at the record of POP Team. IMO They are highly talented and innovative team. TR can get innovative if made by POP Team. Atleast Lara will learn some new moves. Too Happy

yes, they have in fact published some of the games. i have the gba tomb raider game "prophecy" which was done by by ubisoft and eidos. it was published before the logo change so it's the old logo, meaning it's been around for a while now. this isn't really anything new. sorry, zap. Roll Eyes
