I also prefer the Sands of Time trilogy, but that's neither here nor there. It's a new step forward for Prince of Persia, however you may feel about it; however I may feel about it; however anybody feels about it. It's not like the old games are going anywhere, if anything the new Prince of Persia makes my appreciation for the older games even greater.

well the point of having a different prince is because thats the best way to renovate the franchise and add something new to it. Just like they did when Ubisoft took over. That prince before wasnt the same with the Ubi Prince. The SOT Prince's story was already told - had a happy ending too - he got the girl, his kingdom, the sands are delt with and it wouldnt even be prince of persia anymore it would be KING of Persia. there is just nothing new to tell and trying to strech things from there wouldjust ruin the franchise.

having new character and new stories freshen things up. And gives the feeling of 1001 nights - how they constantly tell new stories with new heroes. I think it was a good step to take but it wasn't developed completely in the right direction

Just a little reminder... the Prince in the 2008 game isnt a prince... he said he was born in a poor family (i doubt if he was a prince he would be poor) and that his parents fought in a war... when the Prince's father Sharaman in the Two Thrones died in the sewers from the Reptile's... and also the Concubine says: "What are you a Prince or a popper?" so its not actualy the Prince from the other game's...
