One more thing, the plate deal, that was stupid to, how is she going to have all these different powers that basically do the same thing with a different graphic, it was a cheap attempt to do something different, but it came across as cliche and over the top. This game really jumped the shark.

the game was awsome but tere is some cons for this game.
1.first off te gameplay is great but THERE IS ANY ACTION TO USE THE COMBAT.all you do is fight 2 enemies in one region which isnt as fun as it should be. 2.the game is very very very very very easy and its not even a challenge to the PoP hardcore fans who want a challenge.its very easy that even a 2 year old kid could beat with there eyes closed. 3.the game is repitive.when you start your journey you start fighting the corrupted and do some beginner puzzles(which are good) and heal the fertile ground and thats all you do, there isnt anything specail about this game.the open world isnt as good as i thought it was going to be like.i thought it would there be more adventuring instead of just finding a very little land filled with corruption and then trying to heal it.the corrupted dont even need a strategy to beat all you do is hit them over and over or the warrior by knocking it off the edge. 4.the last con is the story WHICH WAS STUPID.its not a bad story but not a good story.all you know is the prince in the desert in the middle of a sand storm.he falls and elika falls on him.you follow her and fight some guards you see her father you go a tree and the tree breaks and ahriman gets released and you have to fight corrupted.not interesting at all and you hardly get to know anything about elika or the prince and you dont even get to find farah the donkey.the ending was by far the WORST PART OF THE GAME!what was the whole point of healing the lands and fighting the corrupted if the prince was just gonna bring all that to bring elika back alive. if that means theres gonna be another prince of persia as a sequel to this game plz try to make it original then the rest or at least interesting. but even after all these things he game was great, this PoP is the best one for its gameplay and thats all.the TT still has the best story and epic battles.this PoP was great but not as great as it could have been and not as great as i thought it was. the game had some awsome things but didnt use it right and they are: combat elika open world enviroment hope all the things that were wrong with this game will be fixed in the next. |

Here's my full review, unlike the rest which just stated the cons
graphics they were great and awsome.the character animations were also great.these are the graphics that should be used for the next PoP. characters the characters are another great thing.the new prince is incredible and so awsome but hes more of a joker then a hero which is another thing.elika is also great and a awsome character and she's of course super hot. enemies the enemies are very cool but just to easy and not that many.they are not even worth a challenge at all and anyone could beat them AND they also keep on using one of Ahriman's influence. sound a great use of voice actors and music by the great composer.the dailogue action was a nice touch. story the worst thing about the game.its to cheesy, repitive, and boring and also confusing. combat great use of combos and moves but only 2 enemy in each land is very boring and not able to help you utilize the combat.you're just alble to kill the enemies so easily and fast without a challenge. elika one of the best things about the game.she's very useful and luv the way that she always saves you from dieing but in a very very few times she gets in the way and also gets left behind making me miss a co-op jump. enviroment there awsome but not as great as they should be.they are all to small and to easy to walk around.there's also not that many adventuring.the places are just to small and not as big of a open world. platforming te puzzles were great.they're nothing hard but very amuzing and not one of the things that wasted my time like in the SoT. overrall the game was very great with awsome touches but the story, the open world, and the combat were not that great and should have been improved. ---------- if ubisoft is thinking of making a whle brand new story for another PoP keep the same graphics but improved a little and keep picking those great voice actors.also try to make a cooler prince(if that's even possible) but most importantly try to make it more adventuring with a open world, make there more enemies to fight with the same combat engine and TRY TO MAKE A BETTER STORY |

Well done! Now on to the Assasins Creed sequel!

Ok, so, Prince of Persia.
Well, it's definately not what I expected. First off, the graphics. Oh, so beautiful. The scenery is lush and the characters are flawless - the Prince looks especially badass. However, the corruption traps seem to glitch into the wall and don't look anything like the rest of the game. 9/10 Now let me point something out: THIS IS NOT PRINCE OF PERSIA AS WE KNOW IT. After reading both the manuals for Sands of Time and Prince of Persia, I think I can safely say the 2 Princes ARE NOT THE SAME. In Sands of Time it says the Prince is the youngest son of King Sharaman, but in the new game it says 'the Prince' is only a nickname. This probably explains why the old Prince was secluded, tough and pretty depressing (although extreamly badass), while the new Prince is loud, abnoxious and rude (but still extreamly badass). Which makes Ubisoft's new take on the frachise make a little more sense. Next, the combat. Again, completely different from the old games. You barely fight at all until you heal some grounds and battles become a little more frequent. Which isn't necisarily a bad thing. It's just not Prince-of-Persia-style. There are less combos - why? You find yourself doing the same thing over and over again. Where are the awesome Speed Kills from Two Thrones? Hmm? Oh well, it's still pretty cool when you pick something up in the air and then throw it of the edge of a building. 7/10 The free-running. All changed to one button for pretty much everything. The open world is great for the free-running parts (which is most of the game) and is very cool when you string together a series of moves without stopping. But when you fall, you don't die?! What?! Forget the stick, this game just gives you the carrot. If you can't die, what drives you? If it doesn't matter if you fall of a cliff, do you really care if you make a mistake? 7/10 Sands of Time was an awesome game. Warrior Within changed the concept of the game and got rid of time powers. I don't think Warrior Within was very good. Two Thrones, however, was just like Sands of Time, but WAY BETTER. So why change the game again? An improved version of Two Thrones would have had me quit my life for a few weeks. Prince of Persia is a COMPLETELY NEW GAME. It's only Prince of Persia by name. It is still a great game though. As a follow-on from the first Prince of Persia games, it scores a 4/5 But if I had never played a Prince of Persia game before, and I went out and bought this game, I would have to give it a 9/10 It's an incredible game. Just not an incredible Prince of Persia game. |

Hi,
The game was awsome!!!! But the ending was not that great. The whole purpose of the game was to seal the darkness and in the end the prince let it loose anyway. That makes the trailers useless. |

The game views where beautiful, though would have preferred a more realistic style. The new platforming is fun though kind of boring after an hour. I hate that one button does everything now and that the sliding aka gauntlet button was moved to the edges. The combat system was ruined. the one on one seemed cool at first but after 3 of them it became boring and repetitive except for the warrior which was some what different though still annoying. The combat system of free fighting and different combos got me hooked on the original series and which made completely love the prince of persia line. They should have kept the speed kill idea in the game as well. The chance to decimate your enemy was ingenious in pop t2t. the puzzles in the game were way to easy and i figured them out in 5 mins or less. i loved the old games where it was actually a challenge. speaking of challenges this whole elika saves you all the time gets boring after the first few times. it's a great idea but there should be some sort of limit to how many times just like we were limited to the use of the time rewind feature in the others. now there's no effort involved forcing me to become better. There's no challenge to this game ruining it for me.
i give this game a 7/10 on a regular scale but a 3/10 when compared to other prince of persia games. i hope ubisoft fixes this in future POP games. overall this game as a prince of prsia game was a disappointment to me though a semi-decent game by itself. i had expected so much more from it. |

Phenomenal. Ending made the game for me.
9.75 out of 10. |

I was extremely excited about the new Prince of Persia, so maybe it was inevitable that I would be disappointed. This game is too easy and too repetitive. Plus there are game freezing glitches. Two thirds of the way through my final fight with the Hunter the PS3 froze and wouldn't budge until restart. (My PS3 software is up-to-date, so don't go blaming that.) Game freezing glitches are automatic killers in my reviews of games. They taint the whole experience because you never know when the next will happen. Thumbs down on the new Prince of Persia for that reason alone.

it froze? rofl i dont think thats a glitch from the game or maybe it is or probably its just something wrong with the game you have.i have the game and it never frozed once and ive been playing it about 3 hours every day. |

I'm sceptical about game freezes.
Bugs can happen - fair enough. Raide said that it might be a ventaliation issue that the PS3 overheats which can cause all manner of issues (most notably freezes). ----- Beyond Good & Evil - Join The Rebellion Sig Courtesy Of dom1999BG&E Website Hillyan News BG&E Darkroom BG&E Demo BG&E Forums It's hard to answer the question 'What's wrong?' when nothings right. |

ok, i know this is a review board for the game, but it seems like the people who are enthusiests of the series understand what the developers are trying to do and the first timers just dont get it. I (as an enthusiest) totally get it. Yea the cell shading is a negative, and yea the action is a little lack luster, but PoP isnt just about the action, its about the puzzles, and the story, and this game definetly delivered for me in that aspect. Ubi delivered again, yes it needs some tweeking, but you know that more games are coming so of course the develpers are gonna fix some things. I think the main problem people are having is that SoT, WW, and TT was so AWESOME story wise that the bar was set WAY high that it was impossible to duplicate. But again i say this as an enthusiest of the series, the game didnt disappoint, it is what it is and the set up for another trilogy was great.

A review eh? Well let's see...
First off, I will admit that I was expecting to be let down. I'm not ashamed to say that I didn't enjoy Warrior Within in the slightest, and felt that Ubisoft had lost the magic that made me love Sands of Times. As a result, my expectations were set very low. With that in mind, I was pleasantly surprised. I found the characters likeable, the dialogue bright and entertaining, the areas nicely put together and the combat short and sweet. For a platformer, I've never felt combat should be a major part, and it was very neatly woven in the game. Though short and yes, a little easy, it allowed me to forget mistakes, lose all fear of constantly screwing up and getting frustrated(I am very unco when not used to controls). I can understand some people would find that annoying, but I really enjoyed it, it allowed me to focus on something other than button mashing and to just go with the flow of the platforming. The visual style was lovely, I thought it suited the almost fairytale feel of the game. Plus, the music (thankyou Stuart Chatwood!) fitted divinely. I'm probably waxing lyricaly, and I know for every loving word I say someone else will have a cutting negetive one, but that will always happen. I just hope that Ubisoft don't do another complete flip around like they did for WW; I would rather a completely different game if they had to do that. All in all, probably a 8-9/10; going to play it again and see if my rosey glasses fall off. =P **Queen of Obsessions, Gaming Geek, Comic Nerd and Pin-up Fanatic** |

I am highly dissappointed!! Aside from the visuals and the acrobatics EVERYTHING is a complete let-down!! I have been looking forward to a PoP release since I got my 360 and this is what you release. Its like you only released this knowing you'd pull in massive sales based on PoP past success. Congratulations you've gone and ****ed away what use to be my favorite franchise in gaming!! You would have been more successful had you stayed with the original basis and JUST upgraded the graphics. Absolutely NO challenge and repetitive to the point where I feel suicidal!! its a repeat of assasins creed but just a different setting. the ONLY thing you have going for you lately is of course the visuals. the same **** over and over and over and over and OVER AGAIN!! you should be ashamed. im sorry, but im just being honest. there is absolutely NO 'out of the box' thinking. you are abusing your ubisoft's name!! you know all you have to do is slap your label on a game and it will sell. but its been the one dissappointment after the other with u guys. with assasins creed at the top of the list. i honestly think u bribed people to get top reviews on that game. i think that everybody BUT the visual design team should hand in their resignations, because CLEARLY YOU DON'T HAVE GAMERS WORKING THERE!! i cannot express without using foul language how disgusted i am at the executive's for allowing a release like this. but as long as YOU make a quick buck its ok to cheat us out of ours. tsk tsk..

I'm sorry but I had to put this somewhere...WHAT IN THE NAME OF GOD WHERE THE DEVELOPERS OF THIS GAME THINKING??? I don't even know where to begin. How about the graphics/animation. It looks like I'm watching some God forsaken Japanime cartoon for a 5 year old. The prince looks like a d-bag and now for some reason I have to drag around some other obnoxious anime looking girl who won't shut up. To make this worse apparently it's not possible to die. What is the point of a game that can't be lost? Everytime I fall she picks me up, an enemy tries to kill me and she throws him off...its ridiculous. The dialogue is clearly written by the same people who write japanimation as it makes no sense, has no purpose, and involves lots of bizarre metaphors and meaningless concepts. Then they took the controls and anhialated them. Where I used to actually use R1 for wall runs and X to jump and square for attack I now suddenly use X for everything. X X X, it's easy and stupid. Combat used to be fluid.. you used to be able to attack at any time, suddenly I can only fight when theres something to fight.. which is once every hour or so and the attacks are tedious, repetative and visually lame. I'm throwing the annoying little magic girl at things instead of picking up a second sword and slashing through several enemies with several different combos. Call me crazy but I liked the prince of persia 2 and 3 dark vibe. I liked the controls and the ability to redo mistakes (but only a few times, not over and over as many times as I want). I demand that you ubisoft people create me a new prince of persia that's just like the old ones. Whoever you nutcases are that are giving this game flawless ratings are out of touch with reality. Thank God I didn't buy this game. I'm going to go rebuy the last 2 PoP games (for 20 dollars) and be much better off than anyone whos stuck with this 12 hour anime rip off. This game sucks. This is the worst Prince of Persia game ever, maybe even worst playstation 3 games yet. This game is possibly worse than Def Jam Icon and that says something. End of rant (even though I could go on for another 10 pages).

I read one of you comment that you think enthusiasts of the series get this game but first timers don't.... untrue. I have played and beated all of the first three (and the last two I played through at least 3 times apiece) and I simply do not enjoy this new abomination of a sequel. This thing is nothing like the previous ones and every new quality is a negative. This goes on a list of disappointing game sequels with Def Jam Icon, Devil May Cry 4, and I hate to say it before it even comes out but Punisher Warzone or whatever it's called.. I'm sorry but The Punisher deserves 3rd person action. It simply can't be done in 1st person shooter. I hope I'm proven wrong but I don't see how. Thank God that Mortal Kombat is at least moving in a positive direction (although MK vs. Marvel would have been a much better bloodbath of a game). Bottom line, don't waste your money or time on the new Prince of Persia, you will be either one of two things - disappointed, or 8 years old.

well my review lol
i loved the game i thought it was exactly what ubi needed after assasins creed ( good but was disapointing) elika simply amazing her eligance and class make her a worthy princess, and her magic, agility and combat skills make her an amazing character, as well as the story behind her, when you talk to her she has so much to say about herself and her history. gameplay smooth and really fun, yes its easy when you cant die, but be honest do you really wanna die no. i like the fighting yes its only against 1 enemy at a time but that allows for the camera to follow you and the scenes where the camera follows you and elika into the air is reaaly nice. the whole healing grounds gets a bit boring after a while but in the end you get to go through a really amazing city. story the story is well laid out from characters stories, the story keeps you entertained fro start to finish, although im think he prince should have more story behind him finally the prince well lets be honest he isnt prince atleast not yet, he has no kingdom, and all you know about him is that he is a thief that has no family left, he is cocky which i like because he isnt the prince yet, also he just doesnt have that ruthlessness i feel he needs, look at ww and t2t that prince had that whole evil, ruthlessness streak going on, i also think that his voice is okay, because we dont now where he is from, so he may not be persisan, but dont get me wrong i think the main character is amazing he is easy to use fast, strong and agile thats what i think, great game |

Wow I have been looking forward to this game since its' announcement and I am so happy to see Ubisoft didn't disappoint. This game will go down as one of my favorites and one of the best games I have ever played!!! The innovation, the artwork, the development, and so on...everything is a perfect 10 in my book. Ubisoft Montreal is my favorite developer and they continue to deliver outstanding titles. I can't say enough about this game other than I love it way too much, but of course I think that you cannot love this game enough. I am looking forward to the next title you guys put out. Thanks!!!
The story was perfectly paced and I loved having the choice to go further into the story by the interaction button. It definitely made me feel like I was participating in the conversation, and definitely made me immerse deeper into the PoP world. As I said the artwork was beyond amazing. I was always interested in actually seeing this "illustrative style" and it was beyond my expectations. The detail of the buildings and surrounding were excellent but even more so on the characters. The gameplay reminded of Assassin's Creed which I loved, but PoP gameplay is AC on steroids!! It was so fluid and every movment you made was graceful. Either just roaming the world or while in combat, everything was smooth and it just topped it all off. I really can't say enough about this game. If you don't even try playing it you will be missing one of the great games ever made... |

I for one, was rather disappointed with the game, and I'm glad I rented it instead of buying it, because it was most definitely not worth 60 dollars. I think the worst thing was how stripped down the gameplay was difficulty-wise. I mean four taps of a button, and you've traverse an area. There is no sense of challenge or accomplishment. The timing is very forgiving (even in the double jump; Elika at times throws you twice as high in order to save you) and it too often feels like the CPU is playing the game for you. At least force the player to hold the buttons. I mean seriously? The enemies are so ridiculously easy to defeat, that it came to the point that I was annoyed seeing them on the screen, wasting my time. The abused QTE events (please stop with these; they are so overused), and the inability to die (the enemies heath is simply restored when saved by Elika) gives it a lack of urgency and concern. Elika herself is a fine addition to the POP series, but with all due respect, get rid of that hokey sitcom Prince. It was grating hearing him crack those stupid jokes. And I don't think they had "girlfriends" in those years. With that said the visuals are beautiful, but the gameplay is so shallow, and often insultingly simple to the POP player, it doesn't warrant a purchase.

you can tell those who have the prevous renditions of prince of persia from the new comers. Those that have the previous versions were treated to a truely amazing and unique experience. We waited with baited breath to see what a next gen prince could do and teh best they could do is this P.O.S.!!! this game could have been done on the WII instead of the ps3 and 360. now I see why splinter cell conviction's art direction has changed, it's probably just cheaper and less of a headache to put out interactive crayola coloring books than an actual game. this game sucked the sand out of the sands of time and stripped away the warrior within and put training wheels on the game that brought down the 2 thrones!
