Got the new tablet PC, got SH3 installed, have GWX 3 Gold burned to a disc, now the links to "Commander" seem to have disappeared! What the frak? VG did such a stellar job with his presentation, everyone's comments and etc is inspiring.... so now what? RJ, .... I know you're reading this.... turn on the link, be a pal! Hey you!... yeah, you... call RJ and tell him to not leave me dangling! OH, by the way, is there some thread with a workaround for the "Starforce" issue I have encountered with Vista Home Premium? Kudos to the Kapt. that can point me in the right direction. Otherwise, I'll pull this forum right over and put in XP Pro if I have to! I mean it, don't try me on this! I'll do it!
But, seriously, My guess is that somewhere in the thousands of tips, helps and "de-structions" (directions) that have been posted here, the answer surely lies waiting. Shout when you're shallow! B PS in case it matters: HP tx2510us, Touch screen, ATI Radion 3200, AMD Turion 64 X2 dual core 2.1 GHz, 3Gb ram, handles SH4 great!
i'm new to mods and stuff (all i got is GWX atm) what exactly is SH3 Commander for ? (i see it's a must for SH3 mods) also what other a must mods do i need ? besides GWX and commander
I'm getting the real ship names, but no cargo listing or crew losses. And still mildly annoying when a real ship name doesn't show up in the patrol log when the ship type exists in /data/sea/EnglishNames.cfg and the corresponding ship type code is listed in sh3 cfg file ship names.cfg.
Updated to 3.2 SH3 Commander and the GWX3 files for 3.2. While I'm reasonably certain I followed the directions correctly, and my computer has not turn itself off, anything could've happened.

Time for a reinstall?
I could be mistaken, but I think it doesn't retroactively change ship entries.
So, the patrol I did two weeks ago appears as it did, but when I finish my next patrol, it should have the additional data. I hope.
I believe you are correct - but this is the 2nd patrol of a new career with gwx 3 and sh3 com 3.2. I guess I'll see what happens next patrol.
Update: *Looks sheepishly* Hmm...if I had followed RJ's instructions to the letter the cargo and lost crew would have been displayed. A word to the wise: Do NOT install GWX3_CFGfor_SH3Commanders.exe as it contains it's own ship names.cfg.
Amazing what can happen when you follow directions!

You are correct. You can use the patrol log editor to manually update the entries as I have done. Using RJ's entry as a guide and cross referencing the cargotyps with individual ship class entries I've made an acceptable updated patrol log.
Can somebody tell me how to make the Niebelung radar work correctly? It's supposed to be mounted on the snorkel so I can scan while snorkeling. The radar range for all radars is no better than visual. That needs to be tweaked to allow the radar to detect a ship before visual contact. Any suggestions?
The Link for SH3 Commander did not work for me, said something about site under repair or something like that? Any other place to download SH3 Commander 3.2?
