Trust me, this kid's nowhere near "old." Having recently met our birthday boy, I can assure you he is a handsome young man with a full head of hair. Enjoy it while you have it. Anybody with a full head of hair makes this bald Kaleun feel old.
On the other hand, I've started my Kaleun beard for winter patrols. Started at the end of October. I usually wait until November or December, but this year's is my earliest start. I let it grow until it is full and bushy, then trim it back and keep it neat. Makes a difference on those cold blowy days when I am hiking or giving the snowshoes a workout. I've yet to meet any SH3 kaleuns in person, but I meet IL-2 pilots all the time.
