Hi,
I was given a the new joystick above as a christmas present, I went looking for a recent flight sim style game to use it on and came back with BA2. I have yet to get the game to recognise the stick. It is visible in the control panel game controllers options in windows and i can press the buttons and watch the sliders move around perfectly when I manipulate the stick but when I run the game it just doesn't see it. I've tried defining the keys and movements but it just times out with unable to detect error. It has auto updated to the 1,01 patch. On the advice of the Ubisoft tech support I've uninstalled the joystick, tried calibrating it (defined the dead spots) and have even reinstalled the game. All to no avail. I am now stiuck with both a joystick and a game I can't use, am I alone or have others had this problem? Is there any work around or is something that I'm doing wrong?

Please help

Hi,

Just tried the MK software and have given up for now! It looks as though I have wasted £35! If using that kind of freeware is what it takes to use their games then Ubisoft should be ashamed and just stick to consoles in future. This is like going back to the very bad old days, I am moderately PC literate I really feel for those that (quite rightly imho) think you can just plug a joystick in and have it work within 10 minutes let alone 3 hours. I am totally disgusted and will be requesting a refund from Ubisoft if this is not sorted soon on the grounds that they have supplied a product which is not fit for the purpose. Goodbye for now.

Yep, the PC versions of both games where abominations and reflect the inexperience and inability of the devs to actually make, support and patch their PC games (not only BA 1 & 2, but most if not all of thier PC releases this past few years).

It really is time for them to drop development of PC games, they really can't do it anymore.
