The game does not usually input joystick commands properly into the control config panel, but all you should need to do it configure alternate axis and buttons onto your joystick...I am certain this should fix your problem I myself am running the Saitek X52 and was able to setup both the stick and throttle quadrant for use.

I have the same problem with my extrem pro. I just bought the game and had a hard time getting it to run past the Star Force security. I finally figured out to turn off my Norton Anti-virus softwaqre and loaded fine. Now it's a joy stick problem. I loaded the 1.02 patch that is suppose to fix it, but NEGATIVE, it still wont clime or dive and the throttle wont work. How do I configure alternate axis and buttons onto my joystick. I really want to play this game. I had no problems with Blazing Angels 2.
