You have to use the stinger tool to remove Starforce ( http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/4281085773/m/4391068434 ), but if you do remove it, you won't be able to play BA anymore. But, if you can't get the disc to work in the first place, there isn't much point keeping Starforce on your system.
The only alternative is to buy an old cheap DVD drive from eBay. Starforce only tends to affect newer DVD drives. No a great workaround, but if you really must try the game, I can't think of any other way from what you've said in your post.
