Ok kids, I have been viewing this forum for a while and just waiting to see whom would be the first to figure this out. Well apparently no one here has, or will, let me clue you all in.

Most ubi games auto install the latest DirectX9 when you install the game, seems ubi forgot to auto program this one. SO:

Open your game folder, there's a folder named 'DirectX', open it, run setup, and magically you will now have sound. This version is August 07 and needed for the games sound to properly play!!

Now, that was easy, wasnt it???

This works for me! Horray!

I can't decide if this, or the EA "forgot the R in punkbuster" is the worst bug this year.

No one said anything about DirectX 9.0c. Confused

But they did mention AUGUST 2007 DX9. Big Grin

There's about 4 versions of DirectX 9.0c, that's why I said you need AUGUST 2007.

Without it, no glory. You need it to install, and if it will not, there's other problems on your pc.

Ok

Hmm AUGUST 2007 DX9 you say... can't find any .cab files in there with AUG2007 in the name... oh well downloading it from Microsoft instead. Hope that will work

OK I did some search about it and found out that it had with permissions to do, so I edited them in regedit and then I renamed the file that was bad, "XACT2_2_x86.inf" I renamed all the files that had anything with "XACT2_2" in its name.
When I did that a new error with a diffrent file came up so I did the same on that too and 3 or 4 more files.

Anyway, now I got sound Razz So my DX9 was bad from the beginning.

Thanks, the sound problem is fixed - it's magical - why didn't think of that.
