first u have to down load patch 1.01 and 1.02 here is the link to download from ubi http://www.ubi.com/US/Downloads/Info.aspx?dlId=1579 then install both. Then double click ur Blazing Angels setting on ur desktop and go to player 1 controls. Change ur joystick setting to how u like then press save. It should all be fine (it did when i did it)
If it wont work e-mail me e-mail:da_coolguy_92@hotmail.com this worked on my Logitech WingMan ATTACK3 after i got patch 1.01 Patch 1.02 should fix more sticks.
What about joystick controller sensitivity?......this is my only problem. I can configure my stick assignments fine. But flying with a stick is impossible with ailerons either full starboard or port or centre. No ways to hone into any target....never mind stay alive in combat. I will not install this game until that has been resolved. Flying on keyboard & mouse is like cyber sex........it ain't gonna fly!!! Come on Ubi fix this hash....then maybe I'll join the other flyboys online.
The real problem is that the original game, and each patch, affects different joysticks differently. I needed both patches to get my Logi Xtreme3Dpro to have a throttle, and yes I did have to relearn handling of the plane. This is a sad forum...
As far as Im concerned UBI can jump out of a plane w/o a parachute. I can't fix my logitech extreme 3dpro to work with the game. Ive done both patches and notify the support center. They tell me to contact logitech. ITS THE GAME NOT MY JOYSTICK. My joystick works with all other games and can be mapped correctly. Everytime I go into the game and try to map my buttons the settings places random buttons and switches that I cannot change.
In my game the opening mission on training talks about left and right sticks. It keeps telling me to use one then the other for training. These are directions for a console game. Ridiculous.
Any corporation that pays as little attention to their customers and cant even program their game right will not do well. I will never buy a ubisoft game again.
Not for their errors but for neglecting to find answers and sovlve problems for me.
Somewhere in this forum I posted a screen of the set up page for my Logitech Extreme 3D pro, it actually works now in this game. And yes it refers to the throttle slider as button 17, and other axies as buttons but the game is playable. You must have the throttle slider centered at neutral between fast and slow when you are mapping functions, or the game will think that you are selecting the slider for whatever function you are trying to map. Here it is here; It lables pitch as buttons 13 & 14 and Twist as slider up and down (there is no real yaw in this game) but it was the axies of the stick that operate these functions. I kept roll on what they call the z axis.
I will try one last time if I can keep myself from eating the game cd out of frustration. Ill let you know by tomorrow if your the hero. I hope you are cuz I really wanna play the game.
Thanks again.
Ill think Ill have to stick with BF2 if this doesn't work.
If you like ARCADE Flying games you might want to check out these screens form Heroes of the Pacific, it has a forum where the Devs show up and answer Questions and ask for our input on the sequel. What a concept.
Further to all these joystick problems i to cite the game as the problem. so does this not constitute a breach of 'sale of goods'act?, it is not fit for the purpose for which it was sold and as such ubisoft shoul be under a LEGAL obligation to correct it satisfactorily or refund cost. + postage. when they already had a system that worked perfect i.e. il2. F.B. P.F. why not build this into the programming. i shall be seeking further legal advise on this from consumer direct. i do not like paying out good money for nowt.
