OH OH,, some work, some don't. Shades of BA 1 resurfacing.
I am sorry, but you would think that UBI might have learned something from BA 1.
If true, I really thing that UBI nees to get out of the PC market. They just don't seem to have the people (devs)that are skilled enough to make a game work on the PC anymore.

Of course if they would release a PC demo, maybe I would have to eat my words ( and I truely wish that I could). Something tells me that no demo will be forthcoming since they know it may not work properly with various configurations on thr PC.

Currently my Saitek ST290pro does not work at all. I have it all setup in the windows config thingie.. and status is on "OK".

My keyboard is an logitech G15 which as far as I know does not work if you plug it in the PS2.

Also I have a Razer Diamonback mouse. If I move my joystick ingame de mouse gets all freaked out and doesn't respond anymore.. it seems asif the mouse/keyboard/joystick interfere with each other.

I have played varouse other games with my joystick/keyboard/mouse combination and all worked well.. so I don't know why I should change my setup for this game.

Hope this is of any help and also look forward to these things get sorted out.

PS: From what I have seen the game looks really entertaining and a whole bunch of fun.. Smile

PPS: What I find strange is.. Ubisoft also released the IL-2 Sturmovik series where there are no joystick problems at all. Ofcourse its not the same developer but there could atleast have been some sort of information exchange between these two parties.

deeJayOg: Yes, I understoot and indeed lets hope they will patch this soon Big Grin

(PC) I have the Rumblepad2 and programmed buttons but still doesn't work. Its as if the game can't even see my controller. I also have a Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold that won't work either. Flying with the keyboard and mouse is just frustrating. I paid $40.00 for a game I can't even play and I am stuck with it. Ubisoft, you are just ruining your reputation when you don't and won't support gaming gear! This is $40.00 wasted dollars.... great dissappointment!

I had the Logitech setpoint and profiler installed prior to BA2 installation. It picked up all axis and buttons automatically. Even the tabs like (1)Accept, (2)Back work in conjuction with the same numbered buttons on the Logitech controller. I myself have experienced problems in the past with games not recognizing that controller with the setpoint not installed or installed 'after the game was installed etc. Im sorry to hear of everyones problems and I hope maybe this helps in some way/shape/form. G-Luck

I'm running Win XP SP2, 32bit. &
PS2 keyboard (generic)
USB Logitech mouse
USB Logitech Wheel
USB playstation Adaptor
USB Ideazon Fang
Gameport Microsoft Sidewinder

I've tried endless combinations off all above, including running just my PS2 Keyboard, a PS2 Mouse and the Logitech Sidewinder on gameport (fully calibrated in windows). BA2 doesn't even register a button press. I've tried the slider (throttle) neutral trick and no changes.
It won't even use the playstation controller either on its own. It only recognizes the keyboard.
As others have stated, having these plugged in don't matter in other games. UBI better get a patch ASAP, I don't like having a $40 coaster sitting on by desk !!

Something else Ive noticed with other games' glithyness with 3rd party controllers; e.g. Ducati World Championship. If you dont navigate through the menus with the controller, it auto-selects keyboard/mouse as default.

I can navigate somewhat with my Logitech Rumblepad2, however when I go into the setup for programming the controller, I click on the space to set the key and when I press the button on my controller it pauses and then gives me an error code. Doesn't recognize the button. As I stated, I can play with the keyboard and mouse, but what good is that when you have a flight joystick and want to become the ACE of the sky... but with a keyboard/mouse? LOL!

This is absurd! Only the x-axis on my joystick (MS Sidewinder Precision Pro) works! The other settings cannot be changed. Whenver I try to set a joystick function, as soon as I touch the joystick BA2 changes the field for setting the function -- so I end up cycling through all the options without being able to set any of them! Ubisoft had better release a patch for this! Il-2 was a masterpiece; BA2 makes one think that Ubisoft has gone soft...

Tell a friend..My newly acquired Logitech Attack 3 stick works like a dream. Now if I had a nicer computer I could play this game the way its meant to be played.

Well today I bought BA 2 and I'm not so sure that that was a good idea...
Firstly the game does not detect a Logitech Force 3D Pro... secondly, the work around using a third party control emulator, ControlMK, doesn't work either...and that worked for me in BA1.
I could not save the changes I made in the control configuration...in order to use ControlMK.
No sensitivity settings that work!!!!
The mouse sensitivity slider, governed on the mouse wheel, changes back to high sensitivity on its own accord....despite setting that down 20 times!!!!!!!!....the result...just touch the y axis and your plane goes into a full dive or a steep climb...speak about having control of your plane...and u gotta hone onto a target with this kinda control....
I'm speechless!!!!! I spent nearly 2 hours to set up any kind of control and still could not fly...I've spent only about 20 minutes in the air with way too much frustration....diving & climbing, diving & climbing….Bah!!!!
When do I start having fun?
I own every other flight sim on the market so don’t think its my system or my stick or my ability
Ubi....what’s going on?
I've never had 2 minutes of trouble of this kind in any other game on earth....oh yes actually I have......BA1!!!!
Unbelievable!!!! But then again I should have known better from past experience!!!

Stroler1, sounds just like my experience except I never owned BA 1. I bought BA 2 with enthusiasm and grander ideas of being a flying Ace, alias all I do is burn and crash. Flying with a hypersensitive, self recalibrating mouse and keyboard is not my idea of fun. It isn't due to lack of skills but because of an unresponsive UBI game. Out of frustration, I have placed the game on my bookshelf with little chance of resurrection. A shame, shame!
