okay so i got the dang game today not even checking up on it, cause i've known UBI to have half a decent of a reputation (loved Il2-sturmovik) only to find it's a decent game, but severely lacking in the joystick support. (you all know the story) I can't get my wingman extreme to work properly...

i can't even get the damn 1.02 patch installed.

i've run the 1.01 patch, restarted the game, the game says to reboot, so rebooted.. restarted, quitted, then tried to run 1.02 but the setup still reads my game version as 1.00 and keeps asking me to install the 1.01 version..

WTF? next time if i get the option to buy a UBI game or get a kick in the nuts, i'll ask for the kick in the nuts thank you very much.! i'd be in less agony and would've saved me a buck...

Yeah tell me about it. I was out shopping for Madden 2007 and saw this game, the graphics looked awesome and 40+ WW2 aircraft caught my eye. Got home and couldnt get my Saitek Evo to work, I was sad

same problem here cant instal 1.02 becouse it keeps asking to instal 1.01 and i already did 4times now ;(

you have to install 101 and 102 but that might not solve youre joy stick problems

Once the installation has gone bad you have to uninstall everything and start over. Uninstall BA and all its files. Install the game, including their Direct X. It apparently has a couple of .dll files that are not in the "standard" Direct X. Don't run the game. Now install patch 1.01. Don't run the game. Install patch 1.02. Put CD 1 in your player and start the game. You should be good to go. When the game starts you should get a message "checking disc". After a few seconds the intro will start. You never have to enter the CD "key". None of this will fix your joystick problems, but you'll at least be able to twonk around with the mouse/keyboard commands until Ubi give us a fix. (Like that will ever happen.)
