Ok I’ve managed to fix the joystick problem at least for the Logitech Extreme 3d pro
First up I decided to post a new thread so that it would be easier to find rather than getting lost under 12 pages of another thread and hopefully it will help some of you out there. When I got the game the first thing I did was upgrade to 1.02 and I couldn’t get the joystick to work stick left & right would be assigned to buttons the throttle wouldn’t work or be assigned to buttons – basically the same **** everyone else has been having. The funny thing was that the Demo played much better – So I decided to uninstall and re install without any patches – Still couldn’t get it to work. So I went one patch up 1.01 and what do you know the full range of joystick movement works up down left and right. There were a few tweaks that I had to do like the throttle still didn’t work but the twist did to roll the plane So I assigned button 3 & 4 to the left & right roll which actually suits me because when I’m in a dog fight I sometimes not intentionally twist the grip which throws me out as to where I am so I’d rather have to deliberately have to press a button to roll. To get the throttle to work all I then had to do was swap the controls for the twist and throttle in the Logitech profiler software and then of course assign the rest of the controls to buttons to suit me. Works great now easy to control the plane and accelerate or slow down without any problems |
