Hi,

when I play "Blazing Angels 2 Secret Missions of WWII" my "Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback Pro" joystick that is connected to the gameport is not recognized by the game.

The joystick is recognized by windows XP in the "Game Controllers" and can be played in other games.

I am using the 1.01 patch.

Thanks,
Gil.

I have the same problem. Who can help? Should not ubisoft support give us an answer to this problem?

I've got a MS sidewinder precision pro joystick connected to the gameport also. It didn't work either. I contacted UBI and they didn't offer any help. They said come here for support. Anyway, I don't think the game detects joysticks connected to the gameport. I bought a Saitek ST290 pro that is USB and it works fine. I think USB is only supported. I got the Saitek at Wallyworld for $20.

a lot of joysticks don't work properly with the BA games. It really is not a port problem, it is a development and testing problem as well as what happens when inexperienced devs port console games instead of developing for the PC.

It appears that some saiteks work, but a majority of major joysticks do not work (e.g Logitech, MS, etc.)

As to why they don't support-it's because they can't. The game(s) require a major fix and they really don't know how to fix the problem or they won't because UBI doesn't want to spend more money paying someone to repair these game (imho).
