I've just bought Blazing Angels 2 via Steam and with it, I've also purchased a joystick, the ST290 Pro from Saitek which I was informed was compatible with the game. Whether or not it is true, I'm not certain.

Running up the game, I'm given no problems in graphics or gameplay, however the joystick has no response at all. I went to the control map to define the keys, but no matter what I press, I get nothing.

I'm currently using Vista and when I enter my Control Panel and go to controller options, the ST290 works fine and is opperational, so I know the thing's not broken.

I'm just trying to narrow down my options...

Is this a Vista problem? If so, why only does the joystick not work?

Do I need a patch? Well, I've tried patching it, but when I've navigated through the directory (which is in my Steam folder) it tells me I have the wrong directory or that there are not files that need patched.

If so, is it a fault with Steam? Is there a way around it?

I don't know, I'm not a whizz when it comes to computers so I don't know if there's a detail I'm overlooking. Any help would be appreciated.

FOR BA2 on the pc no controller or stick will
work for me! I'm using xp 32 and bought my game
at newegg no steam. Also I buld computers and
work in QC at Lockheed Martin. So I bought the
new Thrustmaster T.Flight StickX no luck....
only thing that works is the keyboard and that
sucks. If UBI. built planes the middle east
would be littered with dead pilots. Keep the
subpar work comming UBI.!
