This solution has probably been written up 100 times but I'm doing it again for everyones sake.
After days of pure anger, I found in a post somewhere how to get my Joystick to work, I'd like to give credit but cant find it again. it is a bug with either logitech devices or USB conflict. Possibly bad coding and lack of testing too. I have Logitech Force 3D Pro (which did not work) Logi G15 Keyboard USB Logi Cordless Rumblepad x2 USB Z Fang USB which all work fine. I have about 7 other USB devices too. I unplugged G15 and gamepads, plugged in a PS2 keyboard and joystick now works. No force feedback, and deadzones are too big. No Options for changing dead zones, I havent tried using the logitech profiler yet cause it kinda sucks too. But I am happy to at least be using a joystick instead of a gamepad. Dont bother trying to use the logitech profiler to map straight to keyboard buttons as I tried this and the control was s#$%. Patch 1.01 had no effect on my problem. Unplugging Logitech USB stuff worked! I am running vista, so I was too concerned that i was having problems untils I saw this forum. Game seems to work pretty good on Vista. I haven't tested on XP so I'm no expert. |

Profiler does not help with dead zone problem. Dead zones are already set to 0. They are way too big.

You have a logitech problem nothing wrong with the game I think.
Have the same Joystick and it works fine, tried uninstalling all logitech stuff and getting the newest drivers yet? All Logitech devices should work with the same profiler. Maybe there's more help on the Logitech forum |

Hey - thanks for the reply but as I said I don't really have a problem anymore.
The problem is not a logitech problem. All my devices work with all the 80+ games that I own. The only other game I have a problem with is BF2, which I have to unplug my wireless game pads to make the joystick work because BF defaults to the pad. They fixed this problem in BF2142. The problem with Blazing Angels 2 is that i have to unlug my gamepads(dont care) and G15 keyboard which I love and would really like to use with the joystick. No game since 1987 has had this problem that i can find except BA1 (patch fixed) and now BA2. I can run the G15 keyboard on win95/DOS mame games and it doesn't have an issue. I can run this keyboard on IL-2 a game made by Ubisoft. FROM A QUICK LOOK AT THIS FORUM - I BELIEVE THIS IS NOT A LOGITECH PROBLEM! Even with my joystick problems, and the fact its not a sim and it feels the same as an old Lucas Arts game with upgraded graphics. I still really really like this game. |

ClaymanX, did you install the patch? The problem that you mention is one of the issues that the patch fixes. You won't need to remove your keyboard or anything like that with the patch installed.

My game automatically updated something the other day, it now says 1.01 on the interface but I still have to unplug the g15 keyboard
I'll try manually applying. FYI - I'm running Vista Ult so I'm not too stressed, by the time logitech releases its next drivers, microsoft does some updates, the earth spins a few times, either I'll have removed Vista, bought a new machine, have gotten sick of the game, or global warming will have destroyed us. I'm much more annoyed with the autoleveling and no setting to change the deadzone for the joystick. This game has heaps of bugs but I still like it a lot. YAY UBISOFT . Stuck on Red Square - will read the lengthy forum soon |
