I was having a tough time hitting all the blue targets on the 1st mission - the arcade controls were difficult for me, being used to such as Pacific Fighters and LOMAC. I set the flight model to Simulation, and now I think I'll have to reinstall.

After choosing Simulation, I can't even get off the ground. The W key and my throttle slider both just give acceleration a little bump. That gets me taxiing down the runway. Before I set the flight model to Simulation, holding down the W key gave me good acceleration, on or off of the ground. (The throttle slider seems to send one hit of the W key and no more, so I'm not using it.) Holding the W key, I saw popping, blue flames out of the exhaust stacks. After trying to see the Simulation flight model, I've set it back to Arcade. I still can't throttle up enough to take off - no blue flames, no "get up and go."

I have set the keyboard controls to "default," although I hadn't changed anything, there. Suggestions?

Not sure if this the answer u want, assuming ur using a JS :

In simulation disable secondary controls and input your JS. With my Logitech the throttle was reversed ie. pushing the throttle forward results in no acceleration, so input slider controls back to front. Restart game before flying to save your inputs properly.

Hope it helps
