Have you tried using control MX?

It's a software that lets you map keyboard strokes to your game controller. It has mouse sensitivity built in. Takes a while to set up but well worth it once you get your joystick or gamepad working. (better game experience than kybrd & mouse IMHO). Let me know if you want my settings for controlMX.

Other than that, could you adjust your mouse sensitivity in windows b4 starting the game?

Thanks for the response. I've never heard of Control MX, but I'll try anything at this point. I do set the mouse sensitivity down in control panel, but it's annoying that the game won't save the setting I make. As I'm flying a mission the mouse gets more and more sensitive until it gets to the point that the slightest movement sets the plane to flopping around like a fish on a dock. When I check the mouse setting in Options, sure enough it's maxed out. I set it back down, save it, and check it again and it's maxed out again. The only way to get the game to hold the setting even temporarily is to exit the game, restart, reset the mouse sensitivity, exit and restart again. Then it MIGHT stay where I put it for a while. I wondered if others have the same problem. I like the game, but between the mouse problem and the auto level, which I refer to as "the target avoidance system", it always levels me out just as I'm about to slide my crosshairs over the target, it takes a lot of the fun out of it.

I'll look online for Control MX. Thanks,

Thanks CGB,

I found the program. Looks like a nifty little utility. I'll try it w/ your settings. A friend of mine plays BA w/ a game pad and he can't use an axis for speed because there self centering. Whith Control MK, he ought to be able to do it. Thanks.

Bill
