Hey there,

Been playing the game for a few days now, it's very immersive and diverse which I like in a game.
I know it's still early days for the game, with the bugs and performance issues etc. but I can't stop thinking about this Idea for a mod for FC2 which would fit it perfectly.

When I play FarCry I think of the movie Blood Diamond a very atmospheric and emotional film. The mod would be based around this film and would use the splendid assets of
FC2 to make this idea come true.

Aspects of Farcry 2 that brought this idea into my head:

-The blood red soil of Africa and the landscape.
-South African/ Rhodesian accents of the Mercenaries
-The diamond trade used in the game
-The female character trying to do her bit to save the world.
-The amount of foot travel done in the game just like in the movie.

To throw up a plot line from thin air:

Your name is Danny Archer. A Rhodesian mercenary with no home and with only one ambition, wealth! Battle hardened from many wars around the African continent you do
many missions for diamonds. After being busted by border security for smuggling diamonds. Your boss Col. Coetzee "Kootz" is not pleased with the mess up and the fact that you owe him money.
Fate has it that you stumble accross a fisherman with a story claiming to have hidden a "pinker" pink diamond. You set off together with an uneasy relationship and distrust but with the surrounding environment are forced to work together to accomplish both persons goals. (Solomon to find his pressganged son, Danny to find the diamond to pay off his debt and set him free).

I have experience texturing and I am very good with the Far Cry mapmakers (don't mean to brag but I won 1st place on the Xbox-magazine Farcry Predator Evolution mapmaking competition).
